Nghe An, import-export turnover reaches nearly 800 million USD
(Baonghean.vn) - Affected by the Covid-19 epidemic, import-export activities and state budget collection faced many difficulties, but Nghe An Customs implemented many measures, creating favorable conditions for enterprises to produce and do business effectively, so import-export activities changed positively.
On July 16, Nghe An Customs Department held a review of the first 6 months of 2020 and deployed tasks for the last 6 months of the year. Attending were representatives of the Provincial Party Committee of Agencies, relevant departments and branches.
In the first 6 months of 2020, due to the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic, import-export activities and state budget collection faced many difficulties, but Nghe An Customs Department focused on implementing many measures to remove difficulties for production and business enterprises under the direction of the Government, the Ministry of Finance, the General Department of Customs, and the Provincial People's Committee. At the same time, continuing to promote administrative reform, closely following programs and work plans... so import-export activities and state budget collection have changed positively.

There were 265 enterprises participating in customs procedures and 4,116 import-export vehicles with 14,165 declarations (an increase of 11.4% over the same period last year). Import-export turnover reached nearly 800 million USD, of which export turnover reached more than 402 million USD and import turnover was 379 million USD.
Main export items are white limestone, superfine stone powder, construction materials, vegetable oil, asphalt... Imported goods are sawn timber, plastic pellets, machinery and equipment, rolled aluminum, electronic components, diesel oil, auto parts...
Thanks to the effective implementation of state budget collection, in the past 6 months, Nghe An Customs achieved a revenue of more than 508 billion VND, of which import tax was more than 420 billion VND...
