Nghe An: Import-export turnover reaches over 3.2 billion USD

Operating in difficult conditions, due to the Covid-19 pandemic affecting import-export activities, but with the determination to both implement anti-epidemic measures and facilitate import-export activities, and remove difficulties for businesses,Customs DepartmentNghe An province has successfully completed the political tasks assigned by Nghe An Provincial People's Committee, Ministry of Finance and General Department of Customs.

In 2021, 390 enterprises participated in customs procedures (including 313 exporting enterprises and 167 importing enterprises) with a total of 49,031registration declarations for procedures (up 47.17% over the same period in 2020), including 23,726 export declarations and 25,305 import declarations.
ItemsexportMainly: Limestone and white limestone powder of all kinds; wood chips, clinker, mobile phone speakers, headphones; processed garments... and main imported goods: Hot rolled steel coils; machinery and equipment to create fixed assets for investment projects; electronic components; rolled aluminum, milk carton paper; garment materials for processed and exported goods; asphalt; diesel oil; refined palm oil in granular form... During the year, there were 11,696 vehicles entering and exiting the country, an increase of 3,353 vehicles compared to the same period in 2020.

In 2021, import-export turnover reached 3,210.7 million USD (of which export reached 1,841.5 million USD, import reached 1,369.2 million USD), an increase of 83.9% over the same period in 2020 and budget revenue at Nghe An Customs Department reached 1,668.5 billion VND, exceeding 33.48% of the legal target.

In 2022, the Covid-19 pandemic is forecast to be complicated and the Customs sector will make efforts to implement solutions to improve the investment and business environment, support and develop enterprises. Continue to remove difficulties in production and business, promote growth, and create a favorable environment for economic development. At the same time, drastically implement solutions to complete the set targets and plans.
