Nghe An celebrates the 93rd anniversary of the National Day of the Kingdom of Thailand

Speaking at the opening ceremony, comrade Tran Thi My Hanh emphasized: Since the two countries established diplomatic relations in 1976, the relationship between Vietnam and Thailand has developed well in all fields, notably in politics, security, defense, economy and trade.

Vietnam is a comprehensive strategic partner of Thailand. Economic cooperation is an important milestone in Thailand-Vietnam relations.

For Nghe An province, there are currently 13 registered FDI projects from Thailand with a total registered capital of 226.58 million USD.

Along with investment projects,Nghe Anis cooperating with Thai provinces within the framework of the Association of Provinces Using Road 8 and Road 12 of the three countries Vietnam - Laos - Thailand (APOTC) including: Bung Can, Sakon Nakhon, Nakhon Phanom, Noong Khai.

The two sides actively and regularly exchange culture, tourism and sports at traditional festivals and meaningful events such as: Performing folk songs of Nghe An at the Tourism Promotion Conference in Sakon Nakhon province, Thailand; inviting Thai provinces to attend the Lotus Village Festival and celebrate President Ho Chi Minh's birthday; organizing student and athlete delegations from the province to participate in sports competitions in Nakhon Phanom province...

On the occasion of the traditional New Year of Songkran (Thailand) and Bunpimay (Laos), Nghe An province organized a New Year for Thai and Lao students studying in the province, contributing to helping Vietnamese - Lao - Thai students exchange culture, sports and arts.

At the same time, Nghe An province organized tourism promotion delegations in provinces such as Udon Thani, Khon Ken, and Bangkok to introduce and promote Nghe An tourism to Thai tourists and seek opportunities to cooperate in developing tours between the two sides.

The Vietnam - Thailand Friendship Association of Nghe An province currently has nearly 400 members. In recent times, the Association has regularly exchanged information and strengthened relationships and cooperation with partners.Thailand.

The Association is the focal point for implementing traditional friendship exchange activities in the province and organizing delegations of Nghe An to exchange friendship in Thailand; coordinating in all aspects to promote sustainable partnership between Thailand and Vietnam in general, and Thailand Nghe An in particular.

The Union of Friendship Organizations of Nghe An province and the Vietnam - Thailand Friendship Association of Nghe An province awarded Certificates of Merit to collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in people's foreign affairs in the period 2015 - 2020.
