Nghe An: Towing a fishing boat with 16 fishermen in distress to shore
(Baonghean.vn) - After nearly 6 hours, the Coast Guard's Squadron 2, Nghe An, overcame the storm and waves to approach and tow the distressed fishing boat and 16 fishermen to shore.
Previously, while on the way to take shelter from the storm, fishing boat NA 95688TS, captained by Mr. Bui Ngoc Kien, born in 1977 in Tien Thuy commune, Quynh Luu district, was operating at coordinates 18"30" N - 106"52 E in the Ha Tinh sea area when the engine broke down, water leaked and was at risk of sinking.

Despite efforts to fix it, it could not be repaired. In the face of the emergency, to promptly rescue the crew and fishing boats from the storm, the Provincial Flood and Storm Prevention Command and the Nghe An Border Guard Command sent the 2nd Squadron led by Captain Truong Van Bich, Deputy Squadron Commander, and 12 officers and soldiers to the rescue. By 2:30 p.m., the rescue ship had reached the fishing boat in distress and carried out rescue work, while towing the fishing boat back to shore.

It is expected that at around 9:00 p.m. on August 29, the rescue team will tow the wrecked ship to Cua Hoi fishing port, Nghe An./.
