Nghe An organizes the first online Youth Informatics Contest

On the morning of July 17, the Provincial Youth Union officially opened the 27th Nghe An Provincial Youth Informatics Competition - 2021. Attending the opening ceremony were comrade Thai Minh Sy - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, Chairman of the Student Association, Chairman of the Provincial Youth Union Council, and representatives of a number of provincial departments and branches.

This year's contest was held at 22 locations in districts, cities, towns, Vinh University and at the homes of some contestants who are currently in social isolation according to State regulations, with a total of 159 contestants in 3 individual competition categories and 8 creative products in many fields.

The Youth Informatics Competition is a key activity of the School Youth Union, aiming to create a healthy and useful playground, an environment and favorable conditions for students to have the opportunity to exchange, learn from each other's experiences in studying, at the same time promoting the intelligence and creativity of young people in applying information technology, contributing to orienting young people in using, exploiting and applying information technology effectively.

Over the past 26 years of organization, the scale, quantity, level and quality of the candidates have increased each year; the content and format of each organization have changed to suit the development of information technology science and the learning and research needs of students.

In the current complicated situation of the Covid-19 epidemic, for the first time, the Nghe An Youth Informatics Contest 2021 is organized online. This is a new way of doing things, suitable for the current situation as well as the trend of applying technology, practicing savings and creating conditions for more candidates to have the opportunity to participate in the contest. Candidates and their families are required to seriously make health declarations and use measures to prevent the Covid-19 epidemic before entering the contest area.

In his opening speech, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union Thai Minh Sy emphasized that the 27th Nghe An Youth Informatics Contest - 2021 has many innovations, and at the same time requested the contest sites and the Organizing Committee to overcome any unexpected problems, if any, and promptly draw lessons so that the contest truly becomes a strong movement of Nghe An province's youth in applying technology and the Internet in studying as well as working.

After the opening ceremony, the Organizing Committee conducted inspections at a number of competition locations. In order to ensure that the online competition was conducted stably, the Organizing Committee divided the competition into 3 individual competition groups at 3 different times on July 17 and 18, and conducted creative product review on the afternoon of July 18.
The official results of the Contest will be announced on July 19.
