Based on reports from various sectors, members of the Provincial People's Council's Legal Committee are concerned and worried about the increasing trend of drug crimes. Specifically, the whole province discovered and arrested 1,236 cases and 1,529 subjects; an increase of 134 cases and 164 subjects compared to 2017.Of these, 1,005 cases with 1,167 defendants have been prosecuted and 231 cases with 362 defendants are being investigated.

Along with the above issues, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council Cao Thi Hien also pointed out the current situation of violations of environmental protection laws and violations in sending workers abroad at a number of organizations and units and requested the Public Security sector to pay attention to monitoring and implementing measures and solutions to combat and prevent them.

In addition, the Head of the Provincial People's Council's Legal Committee also pointed out a number of shortcomings and limitations that need attention. Regarding the work of preventing and combating crimes and law violations, it is worrying that the situation of law violations is potentially complicated, especially drug crimes. Therefore, the Public Security sector needs to have plans and strengthen coordination to prevent and combat effectively. State management work in a number of areas is still limited and needs to have better management measures to limit violations.
Regarding prosecution work, Head of the Legal Department Phan Duc Dong noted that the Provincial Procuracy needs to pay attention to reviewing and classifying crime reports; at the same time, focus on resolving complicated cases.

For the Provincial People's Court, it is necessary to pay attention to speeding up the trial of economic cases, prolonged cases and promoting the trial of pending civil and administrative cases, overcoming limitations in the trial of cases.
Regarding the Enforcement sector, the Head of the Provincial People's Council's Legal Committee suggested focusing on cases of enforcement with prolonged conditions and proactively coordinating with the Public Security sector to develop effective enforcement plans and strategies.
