Nghe An brings relief goods to people in flood-hit areas

On the morning of October 21, a working delegation from Nghe An province led by Mr. Truong Thiet Hung - Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province went to deliver relief goods to people in the flood-hit areas of Quang Tri.

Heavy rain,severe floodingand lasted for the past half month, causing heavy damage to people and property in Quang Tri province. As of the morning of October 20, the whole province had 49 dead, 8 people were not found, 25 people were injured. Up to now, many people's properties and public works are still flooded and the damage cannot be checked or counted. Quang Tri province is focusing on mobilizing all resources and forces to respond to and overcome the consequences of natural disasters.

In this locality, the working group of Nghe An province presented money and goods worth nearly 600 million VND. This included 10 tons of rice, hundreds of life jackets, and essential foods to cope with the floods...

In addition, also on the morning of October 21, another working delegation from Nghe An led by Colonel Pham Van Dong - Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command delivered relief goods to the two provinces of Quang Binh and Quang Tri. The relief goods included essential necessities worth more than 236 million VND donated by the Women's Union of the Provincial Military Command in conjunction with the Women's Union of Vinh City and the Women's Union of Yen Thanh District.
