Nghe An raises awareness of using energy economically and efficiently
Directive 20 on enhancing electricity saving in the period of 2020 - 2025 plays a very important role, being a premise to achieve the goals set out in the National Program on economical and efficient use of energy for the period up to 2030. In Nghe An, training programs on energy saving in households and electrical safety are being actively implemented by the Department of Industry and Trade.
Tuong Duong Electricity has just coordinated with the Center for Support and Development of Industry and Trade - Department of Industry and Trade, Women's Union of Thach Giam Town, Tuong Duong District to organize a training course on "Energy saving in households and electrical safety in 2024".
At the training session, Tuong Duong Electricity and Department of Industry and Trade officials conveyed and disseminated basic knowledge about: State policies on energy saving in Vietnam today; Instructions on skills for using energy saving devices in the home; Energy saving labels and how to recognize energy saving labels; Protection of high voltage power grid corridors and ensuring electrical safety for the people...
Practical topics related to life have contributed to raising people's awareness of the Program on economical and efficient use of energy, propaganda work on protecting high-voltage power grid corridors, and ensuring electrical safety for the people. People had their questions specifically answered to better understand the issues discussed.
Electricity officials also distributed handbooks with detailed instructions on how to use energy economically and efficiently, and provided training on skills related to selecting and using basic household appliances and equipment; as well as protecting the safety of high-voltage power grids and using electricity safely.
Implementing Directive 20 on enhancing electricity saving in the period of 2020 - 2025, the Center for Supporting and Consulting on Industrial and Trade Development, Nghe An Department of Industry and Trade has organized many campaigns to launch the movement of using energy economically and efficiently in households and schools. Organize booth participation at exhibitions and trade fairs to popularize products, energy-saving technologies, green technologies to popularize products, energy-saving technologies, green technologies.
In 2024, the Center coordinated with Nghe An Electricity to organize energy saving training courses for households and socio-political organizations in communes and wards of the districts: Anh Son, Con Cuong, Tuong Duong, Hoang Mai, Nghi Loc, Dien Chau, Quy Hop, Quy Chau, Tan Ky.
Through the training sessions, trainees representing households have fully realized the importance and significance of using energy economically in the family, protecting the safety corridor of high-voltage power grids, ensuring electrical safety for the people. From there, apply the knowledge that has been equipped in the exchange session to apply in practice and at the same time widely propagate to households, to spread in the community and society.
It is known that in the coming time, the Center for Supporting and Consulting on Industrial and Commercial Development will organize a number of competitions on using energy economically and efficiently in schools and households; Replace and install 40 classroom models that meet standard lighting and save energy with LED lights for schools in Nghe An province...
Mr. Hoang Minh Tuan - Director of the Center for Support and Consulting on Industrial and Commercial Development, said: In recent years, the use of energy economically and efficiently has been of interest to the Party and State leaders and is considered one of the important pillars to ensure energy security as well as help the energy sector develop sustainably. A complete legal system has been issued synchronously from Laws, Decrees, and documents guiding implementation have been issued. In addition, the Programs and projects implemented by ministries and branches have brought about clear results in changing awareness and actions. As a result, in the period of 2006-2015, according to statistics, the whole country saved about 3.4% of total energy consumption. In the period of 2019-2030, the National Program on Economical and Efficient Use of Energy aims to save 8-10% of total energy consumption.
"In Nghe An, we continue to implement the program of using energy economically and efficiently, and work with businesses to ensure electricity supply during the hot season, peak times," Mr. Tuan shared.
In order to further promote energy efficiency, on May 7, 2020, the Prime Minister signed and issued Directive No. 20/CT-TTg on enhancing electricity saving in the period of 2020 - 2025. The program aims to achieve the annual goal of saving at least 2% of total electricity consumption nationwide. Since the implementation of Directive No. 20 of the Government on enhancing electricity saving in the period of 2020 - 2025, people and businesses have become more aware and implemented many more effective energy saving/electricity saving solutions.
