Nghe An: Rice field artisan carves statue of King Hung

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of April 16 (March 10 of the lunar calendar), Artisan Nguyen Trong Ha in Nam Thanh communeYen Thanh district officially introduced the statue of the 18th Hung King that it carved itself.

The statue of King Hung is built on the surface of the pond, located in the family's ecological garden. The statue and stand are 1.7 m high, 1.12 m wide, made of cement, steel, stone and sand. Behind the statue is a bronze drum, engraved with the advice of President Ho Chi Minh "The Hung Kings have the merit of building the country, we must protect the country", surrounded by trees, simulated hills and mountains, symbolizing the sacred land of Phu Tho.

The statue of the 18th Hung King was sculpted by artisan Nguyen Trong Ha over a period of more than a month.

This is one of five sketches that recently the ministries and functional agencies posted on mass media to solicit public opinion, selected by artist Nguyen Trong Ha and made over a month.

Along with the statue of the 18th Hung King, over the past 10 years, in the ecological garden, Artisan Nguyen Trong Ha has also designed and built statues of Buddha and great men of the Vietnamese nation such as: Ly Cong Uan, Nguyen Trai, Tran Hung Dao, Nguyen Hue, President Ho Chi Minh, General Vo Nguyen Giap, etc.

The statues of great Vietnamese people were made by Artisan Nguyen Trong Ha over the past 10 years.

Artisan Nguyen Trong Ha was honored and awarded the certificate of "Typical Vietnamese Artisan and Ornamental Plant Garden Owner in 2015" by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Vietnam Ornamental Plant Association./.
