(Baonghean.vn) -On the evening of July 15, nearly 3,000 households in two communes, Muong Noc and Que Son, and block 5, Kim Son town (Que Phong district, Nghe An) had no electricity because people felled trees to grow oranges, causing a 35 Kv power line to break.
Earlier, at about 18:00 on the same day, Mr. Cao Xuan Thuy, block 5, Kim Son town, hired Mr. Lo Van Tin, Na Phay village (Muong Noc commune) to cut down a large tree to clear land to grow oranges.

Due to carelessness, a tree fell on a high-voltage power line, causing the 35KV power line to break, the beam to break, and 6 power transformer stations serving the above communes to lose power completely.
The police, the Electricity Department and the Department of Industry and Trade have conducted an inspection and drawn up a record of administrative penalties according to the Electricity Law. Accordingly, the violation of grid corridor safety by Mr. Cao Xuan Thuy and Mr. Lo Van Tin can be fined from 10 to 20 million VND.

According to statistics from Que Phong Electricity, every year in the district there are 7-8 cases of trees falling into the power grid corridor, causing damage to people and property.
