By 9:00 a.m. this morning (September 9), the spillway at km 23+850 and km 25+250 D on provincial road 544 in Lim village, Chau Phong commune, Quy Chau district was flooded with deep, fast-flowing water from 1 to 1.2 meters. Currently, the Lim village area, Chau Phong commune has been isolated.
According to the report of the Department of Agriculture of Quy Chau district, the whole district currently has 6 overflow bridges.floodedbelonging to Chau Thang, Chau Tien, Chau Hoan communes, Tan Lac town, Chau Phong. All flooded areas were blocked by local authorities to prevent people from passing through.

Also this morning, on National Highway 48E, there were 2 spillways flooded with more than 1 meter of water, the spillway at km 59+950 and the spillway at km 61+800 in Nghia Binh commune, district.Nghia Dan.
A representative of the Department of Transport said: Up to this point, the whole province has 7 flooded bridges, mainly in Nghia Dan and Quy Chau districts. To ensure the safety of people and vehicles, the Department of Transport has directed traffic management units to coordinate with local authorities to deploy forces to block off, set up temporary barriers, and assign guards to absolutely not allow people to cross on both sides of the flooded bridges.

Currently, water levels in rivers, streams, and spillways in some mountainous districts are rising, posing many potential risks. Therefore, localities need to increase propaganda and blockades in risky areas to ensure the safety of people's lives./.

Nghe An issues telegram on response to heavy rain, flash floods, landslides, and inundation

Vinh City checks landslides and high risk of flooding due to storm No. 9
(Baonghean.vn) - In order to proactively respond to heavy rain caused by storm No. 9 in the Southern Nghe An area, immediately after an urgent meeting with the People's Committees of wards, communes and units on the morning of October 27, Vinh City directed wards and communes to urgently deploy dredging of sewers, collecting trash and rocks in sumps and inspection wells.
