Because pure rice varieties have long panicles, thick grains, high yield, and heavy plants, they are more likely to fall.

Along with that, dozens of hectares of newly sown summer-autumn rice in Dien Thai, Dien Dong, Dien Minh, Dien Binh communes... were also flooded.

Currently, the Dien Chau agricultural sector and communes are mobilizing people to drain water from the fields, the Irrigation Enterprise is focusing on operating sluices through the dike to drain water to the sea. Green rice areas are planted and bundled, rice fields with 80% or more ripe are harvested, and combine harvesters are mobilized to speed up the harvest progress, entering the summer-autumn production soon.
