Nghe An: Outstanding information and images on May 18

*TOn May 18, many high-ranking delegations from the Central Government and Nghe An province visited the Kim Lien National Special Relic Site (Nam Dan).offering flowers and incense to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh.

On the evening of May 18, comrade Tran Quoc Vuong - Politburo member, Standing member of the Secretariat, along with the delegation of the Central Committee, Nghe An province and a number of provinces, visited and offered flowers and incense at the Kim Lien National Special Historical Relic Site, Nam Dan, Nghe An.

Also attending were Politburo members: Truong Thi Mai - Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Mass Mobilization Commission; General To Lam - Minister of Public Security; Party Central Committee members: Uong Chu Luu - Vice Chairman of the National Assembly; Nguyen Dac Vinh - Deputy Chief of the Party Central Committee Office; and leaders of central departments, ministries and branches; leaders of Military Region 4, Secretaries of Provincial Party Committees of Thanh Hoa, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh and Quang Tri provinces.

On the side of Nghe An province, there were comrades: Thai Thanh Quy - Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Nguyen Xuan Son - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Nguyen Duc Trung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Nguyen Van Thong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee.

In a sacred and respectful atmosphere, comrade Tran Quoc Vuong and the delegation offered incense and a basket of fresh flowers to Uncle Ho's spirit on his birthday. Grateful, respectful, happy and proud of Uncle Ho, comrade Tran Quoc Vuong and the delegation vowed to forever study and follow the noble ideology, morality and style of President Ho Chi Minh.

*HJoin in the activities celebrating the 130th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday,Armed forces of Military Region 4 and Nghe An provincealso held a memorial ceremony for President Ho Chi Minh at the Kim Lien National Special Relic Site. The delegation of the Standing Party Committee - Military Region 4 Command was led by Lieutenant General Tran Vo Dung - Party Committee Secretary, Political Commissar of the Military Region; Lieutenant General Nguyen Doan Anh - Deputy Party Committee Secretary, Commander of the Military Region. The delegation of the Party Committee - Military Command of Nghe An province was led by Colonel Pham Van Dong - Deputy Party Committee Secretary, Political Commissar. *MAn event that attracted the attention of the people of the whole province was the television program called “Ho Chi Minh - Shining Vietnamese will” held on the evening of May 18. The program took place at 8:00 p.m. and was broadcast live to 5 locations, including: Hanoi (President Ho Chi Minh relic site at the Presidential Palace), Nghe An (Kim Lien relic site), Tuyen Quang (Tan Trao special national relic site), Ho Chi Minh City (Nha Rong Wharf) and Dong Thap (Temple of Literature Park).

*TDuring the day, many localities in the province held Party congresses at all levels. This is a political event that has a profound impact on the development goals of localities in the 2020-2025 period.

InYen Thanh district, after the preparatory session held the day before, on the morning of May 18, the second working session of the 27th Congress of Yen Thanh District Party Committee, term 2020-2025, took place. There were 268 official delegates, representing more than 12,000 party members from 82 party organizations under the Yen Thanh District Party Committee attending the congress.

The political report at the congress stated that after 5 years of implementing the Resolution of the 26th District Party Congress, Yen Thanh has achieved many important results, basically all targets and tasks have been achieved and exceeded the set plan. The economy has developed rapidly and shifted in a positive direction. The average annual economic growth rate in the period 2016 - 2020 is estimated at 9.50%. The average income per capita in 2020 is estimated at 47,515 million VND, an increase of 182% compared to 2015.

The Congress also heard an important speech by Comrade Nguyen Xuan Son - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council.

In the afternoon, the congress elected 39 comrades to the Executive Committee of the Yen Thanh District Party Committee, term XXVII, 2020-2025, and planned personnel to vote for the position of Secretary of the District Party Committee, term XXVII, 2020-2025. On the morning of May 19, the congress will hold its final working session and close.

During the day,Thanh Phong Commune Party Committee(Thanh Chuong),Quang Trung Ward Party Committee(Vinh City),Trung Son Commune Party Committee(Do Luong) andDien Kim Commune Party Committee(Dien Chau) also held the Congress for the 2020-2025 term.

*Lrelated to the incident of a series of decorative columns on Lenin Avenue and Xo Viet Nghe Tinh Street being broken after a tornado on the evening of May 17. According to the Vinh City Urban Management Department, 11 decorative and advertising lampposts were completely broken, along with many advertising panels on this traffic route and trees were uprooted. Immediately after the tornado, the city's functional forces arranged a team to promptly warn and guide traffic, so no unfortunate accidents occurred. By noon on May 18, the functional agencies hadcomplete the cleaning, ensuring safety for traffic activities.
