Nghe An allocates 500 billion VND from the central and provincial budgets to overcome the consequences of natural disasters.
Faced with severe damage caused by floods, the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee agreed on a plan to allocate 300 billion VND from the central budget and 200 billion VND from increased revenue and savings from the province to support overcoming the consequences.
On the morning of August 7, comrade Nguyen Duc Trung - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee chaired the meeting of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee.
Attending the meeting were comrades: Hoang Nghia Hieu - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Le Hong Vinh - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Vo Thi Minh Sinh - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; comrades representing the Central Party Committee, the Central Inspection Committee, the Central Party Office in charge of Nghe An; and comrades in the Provincial Party Standing Committee.

The Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee has listened to and agreed with the proposal of the Provincial Party Committee and People's Committee on the plan to allocate 300 billion VND to support overcoming the consequences of natural disasters caused by storm No. 3 from the central budget for 4 areas: Transportation, Agriculture and Environment, Health, Education and Training.
Of which, 112 billion VND is allocated to support traffic recovery and repair of suspension bridges; 100 billion VND is allocated to support agricultural production, recovery of natural disaster prevention and control works, and clean water in rural areas.

Allocate 38 billion VND to support emergency repairs to medical centers and stations, purchase medicine, equipment, and working tools; allocate 50 billion VND to support repairs, construction of new school facilities, and purchase of teaching equipment.
Faced with severe damage caused by floods, the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee unanimously decided to allocate an additional VND 200 billion from increased revenue and unallocated savings to focus on repairing damage to traffic infrastructure, with priority given to repairing National Highway 7A, National Highway 16 and a number of provincial roads.

Previously, the Provincial People's Committee issued a Decision to allocate and assign an additional amount of VND 205 billion from the provincial budget reserve in 2025 to localities. The allocated budget level is based on the level of damage and the ability to implement in localities.
Specifically, support for 3 communes: My Ly, Nhon Mai, Tuong Duong which suffered very serious damage, each commune will receive 20 billion VND.

Support for 11 communes with serious damage: 120 billion VND, including the following communes: Muong Tip 15 billion VND; Muong Xen 15 billion VND; Huu Kiem 10 billion VND; Con Cuong 10 billion VND; Chieu Luu 10 billion VND; Na Loi 10 billion VND; Luong Minh 10 billion VND; Tri Le 10 billion VND; Tam Quang 10 billion VND; Huu Khuong 10 billion VND; Tam Thai 10 billion VND.
Support 5 communes greatly affected with 25 billion VND, including the communes: Bac Ly 5 billion VND; Keng Du 5 billion VND; Nam Can 5 billion VND; Yen Na 5 billion VND; Thong Thu 5 billion VND.

The province has also allocated 2 funding periods from the Fund for the Poor and provincial relief through the account of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, totaling 112 billion VND, to support localities and people affected by floods.
Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Duc Trung requested the Provincial Party Committee to lead the Provincial People's Committee and agencies and localities to allocate and overcome the consequences of natural disasters effectively, closely, in accordance with regulations, to the right subjects, and with the right content.
The unprecedented floods in late July caused severe damage to property and infrastructure in Nghe An province. To date, the estimated damage caused by floods in the area is up to VND3,635 billion.
Of these, 450 houses collapsed, were buried or completely swept away; 5,426 houses were deeply flooded, with their internal assets damaged or lost after the water receded; an additional 1,601 houses were damaged by floodwaters and landslides, causing a loss of VND1,545 billion.
Traffic infrastructure was severely affected with losses of about 1,390 billion VND, especially 16 traffic bridges were washed away or damaged; 9 suspension bridges were washed away; on national and provincial highways, there were 14 landslides, 8 roadbeds were completely broken; in addition, more than 52km of local traffic roads were eroded...
