Nghe An: Distributing nearly 1,520 tons of rice to students in extremely disadvantaged areas
(Baonghean) - On September 12, 2017, the Provincial People's Committee issued Decision No. 4170/QD-UBND on the allocation of rice for the first semester of the 2017-2018 school year to students in the province.
Accordingly, the Provincial People's Committee decided to approve the number of students receiving rice support policy as 20,278 students with the allocated amount of rice being 1,520,850 kg.

Because the remaining rice in the 2016 - 2017 school year is 1,198 kg, the actual rice demand is 1,520,850 kg - 1,198 kg = 1,519,652 kg (one thousand five hundred and nineteen tons, six hundred and fifty two kilograms); it is provided in two phases: Phase 1 is provided before September 30, 2017, the quantity for September - November 2017 is 911,312 kg (nine hundred and eleven tons, three hundred and twelve kilograms). Phase 2 is provided before November 20, 2017, the quantity of rice for December 2017 and January 2018 is 608,340 kg (six hundred and eight tons, three hundred and forty kilograms).
The Provincial People's Committee requests the Nghe Tinh State Reserve Department to organize the transportation and direct delivery of rice to the People's Committees of districts and towns according to the list to ensure quality, completeness and timeliness; Assign the Department of Education and Training, the Provincial Ethnic Committee, the People's Committees of related districts and towns to coordinate with the Nghe Tinh State Reserve Department to organize the reception and distribution of rice to schools in the area to ensure timeliness, convenience and cost savings in transportation and direct and inspect the timely reception and distribution of rice to the correct students receiving support.
Regarding the budget for warehouse delivery, transportation, and delivery of support for students, it is implemented according to regulations; People's Committees of districts and towns proactively allocate local budgets to transport rice for students, then summarize the budget needs and send them to the Department of Finance for consultation and submission to the Provincial People's Committee for decision.
