Nghe An: Striving to have 257 communes meeting New Rural standards by 2020

(Baonghean.vn) - According to the Office of New Rural Development Coordination of Nghe An province, by 2020, Nghe An strives to have at least 257 communes meeting New Rural standards.

By 2020, the province will achieve an average of 16.5 criteria/commune; There will be no more communes with less than 7 criteria. Specifically: Nam Dan district: 23/23 communes, Yen Thanh district 32/38 communes, Dien Chau district 30/38 communes, Quynh Luu district 27/32 communes, Nghi Loc district 20/29 communes, Hung Nguyen district 17/22 communes, Do Luong district 17/32 communes, Thanh Chuong district 18/39 communes, Nghia Dan district 15/24 communes, Quy Hop district 10/20 communes, Anh Son district 8/20 communes, Tan Ky district 7/21 communes,...

The province also built 3 communes that met the standards of model New Rural Communes according to the Criteria 100/QD-UBND of the province, including: Quynh Doi commune, Quynh Luu district, Kim Lien commune, Nam Dan district, Son Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district.

Build 77 villages in extremely difficult communes to meet the standards according to the Criteria 1263/QD-UBND of the province (only assign villages and hamlets in communes not included in the plan to meet the New Rural standards for the period 2016-2020).

Basically complete essential works to meet the requirements of production development and rural residents' lives: transportation, electricity, domestic water, schools, and commune health stations.

Currently, Nghe An has Thai Hoa town and Vinh city reaching the NTM standard and Nam Dan district is striving to reach the NTM district standard in 2017. The whole province has 152/431 communes reaching the NTM standard.
