(Baonghean.vn) - This is one of the contents in Document No. 9668/UBND-NC of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee on the implementation of Official Dispatch No. 1014/CD-TTg dated October 26, 2023 of the Prime Minister.

In the document sent to provincial departments, branches and sectors; People's Committees of districts, cities and towns dated November 10, 2023, it clearly stated:In recent times, the Provincial People's Committee has focused on directing units and localities to resolutely implement the targets, tasks, and solutions for fire prevention and fighting (PCCC) for residential areas, households, and houses combined with production and business according to the direction of the Prime Minister in Directive No. 01/CT-TTg dated January 3, 2023, on strengthening PCCC work in the new situation, thereby closely following the implementation progress, the fire and explosion situation has been basically contained.(From the beginning of 2023 to now, there have been 204 large and small fires in the province, causing no human casualties and property damage of about 27.3 billion VND).

However, through monitoring, regarding the implementation of the target of propaganda and mobilization of households to equip themselves with fire extinguishers, up to now, the whole province has only 484,133/803,363 households and houses for residence combined with production and business equipped with fire extinguishers.(reached 58.3°/o),while from now until the end of 2023, there is only more than 1.5 months left to complete the implementation period; in which, some localities have low implementation results.(below 50%, as of October 30, 2023),such as: Tan Ky 32.2%; Yen Thanh 33.1%; Que Phong 34.6%; Quy Hop 36.8%; Do Luong 42.7%; Hung Nguyen 43.6%; Thanh Chuong 44.8%; Ky Son 49.1%.

In order to continue to effectively carry out fire prevention, fire fighting and rescue work (PCCC and CNCH) for residential areas, households, houses combined with production and business, determined not to let fires and explosions occur causing serious damage to people and property in the province, and at the same time strictly implement Official Dispatch No. 1014/CD-TTg dated October 26, 2023 of the Prime Minister on the fire in Tu Hiep commune, Thanh Tri district, Hanoi city, the Provincial People's Committee requests:

- Continue to strongly promote the movement“My house has a fire extinguisher.In the area, strive to have at least 1 fire extinguisher per household by December 31, 2023.

- Organize propaganda and inspection for 100% of residential areas, households, houses for living combined with production and business in the area.(to be completed by December 31, 2023).

- Regularly review, organize propaganda, and mobilize households and businesses to open a second escape route, dismantle tiger cages, and ensure that 100% of family houses, houses combining production and business, kiosks, and production and business establishments mixed in residential areas in the area have at least 02 escape routes arranged in a dispersed manner, meeting escape requirements in case of fire or explosion.

- Organize training for business owners, household owners and residents in residential areas, ensuring that 100% of households and houses for combined production and business have at least 1 person who is educated and trained in basic knowledge and skills on fire prevention and fighting and search and rescue.(to be completed by December 31, 2023).

- Continue to review and replicate the model of Inter-family Fire Safety Teams, ensuring that 100% of houses for housing combined with production and trading of flammable and explosive goods and adjacent to each other in the area participate in the Inter-family Fire Safety Team. Review alleys and lanes with high population density.(household), houses for residence combined with production and business, boarding houses, old collective houses...)with a length of 50 m or more that fire trucks cannot reach according to residential areas to continue to expand the model of "Public Fire Station".

The document also clearly states that provincial departments, branches, and sectors, and People's Committees of districts, cities, and towns must direct the implementation seriously and effectively. During the implementation process, if there are any difficulties or problems, promptly report to the Provincial People's Committee (through the Provincial Police) for guidance.
