At the meeting, delegates listened to and gave their opinions on the Planning of high-tech agricultural zones (CNC) in Nghe An province until 2020, with a vision to 2030, presented by the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development.
In 2010, the Provincial People's Committee approved the Project on developing high-tech agriculture in Nghe An province until 2020. Up to now, the total area of CNC agricultural cultivation is 9,502 hectares, accounting for 3.1% of the agricultural cultivation area; the average production value is from 200 - 250 million VND/ha/year, 2-3 times higher than mass agricultural production.
Concentrated CNC agricultural zones have been formed with a total area of 3,815 hectares. The proportion of high-tech agricultural production accounts for about 5-10% of the agricultural production value; productivity and value of CNC-applied crops and livestock products increase by 20-40%, and profits for producers increase by over 30% compared to revenue.
In the province, there are currently 12 units and enterprises operating in science and technology and applying CNC in agriculture.

According to the plan, in the period of 2016-2020, Nghe An will select 8 groups of crops and 5 varieties of animals to apply CNC in the main stages (varieties, cultivation, farming and post-harvest preservation). By 2020, the whole province strives to have about 5-7% of the agricultural land area applied CNC; the proportion of CNC agricultural production value accounts for about 15-20% of the total agricultural production value of the province; increase added value by 20-30%; have 1-2 enterprises recognized as CNC agricultural enterprises.
Forming a concentrated CNC agricultural production area in Nghia Dan district, with a scale of 200 hectares to organize production and attract businesses to invest in CNC agricultural production.
By 2030, strive to increase the proportion of agricultural production value applying CNC to account for 45-50% of the total agricultural production value of the province (the national target is 40-50%), creating a spillover effect for other production areas. There are 4-5 enterprises recognized as high-tech agricultural enterprises.

Concluding this content, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Xuan Duong agreed to approve the CNC application area planning presented by the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development. The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development received the opinions of the delegates to complete the planning content.
In the same afternoon, delegates listened to and gave their opinions on the policy of adjusting the price list of land types from January 1, 2015 to December 31, 2019 in Nghe An; Draft Decision on authorizing specific land prices to calculate land compensation when the State recovers land, specific land prices for resettlement land allocation and specific land prices to determine the starting price for auctioning land use rights in Nghe An province.
The meeting also heard the policy of establishing cooperation in education and vocational training between Nghe An province and South Australia; Report proposing the need to supplement the planning of golf courses in the province and giving opinions on Hoang Thinh Dat Joint Stock Company receiving the Hoang Mai 1 Industrial Park Infrastructure Investment Project from Hoang Mai Industrial Park Investment Joint Stock Company.
