Nghe An launches response to Labor Safety and Hygiene Action Month

(Baonghean.vn) - The launching ceremony of the first month of action for occupational safety and hygiene in Nghe An province in 2017 just took place in Hoang Mai town.

Attending the ceremony were comrade Huynh Thanh Dien, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, representatives of the Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs, comrades representing departments, branches and local leaders.

On the morning of May 14, in Hoang Mai Town, the launching ceremony of the first month of action for occupational safety and hygiene in Nghe An province in 2017 took place with the theme "Promoting occupational safety and hygiene training to prevent occupational accidents and diseases".

This is a peak period of launching and organizing extensive propaganda to all levels of Party committees, authorities, mass organizations, enterprises, workers and all people to raise awareness and responsibility for occupational safety and hygiene to protect the health of workers; on the basis of promoting activities to improve working conditions and environment to ensure safety and protect the health of workers at the workplace, prevent occupational accidents, occupational diseases and prevent fires and explosions.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Huynh Thanh Dien commended and highly appreciated the contributions of all levels, sectors, units, enterprises, collectives and individuals who have performed well in the work of Occupational Safety and Hygiene - Fire and Explosion Prevention in the past time. Comrade Huynh Thanh Dien requested that agencies, sectors, levels, enterprises and workers in the province focus on directing and implementing a number of tasks such as: organizing the dissemination and strict implementation of the Law on Occupational Safety and Hygiene; promoting propaganda and information activities; strengthening the inspection and examination of enterprises and production and business establishments, etc.

On this occasion, the Provincial People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to 12 individuals and units with outstanding achievements in implementing the 2016 Labor Safety and Hygiene Program.
