Nghe An launches online Consumer Rights Day March 15
(Baonghean.vn) - The Law on Consumer Protection 2010, effective from July 1, 2011, has created a necessary legal corridor for consumer protection, establishing stability in the relationship between consumers and business organizations and individuals.
On the morning of March 15, the Department of Industry and Trade organized an online launching ceremony for Consumer Rights Day and a propaganda conference on Vietnamese Consumer Rights Day 2022 with the theme: Safe consumption in the new normal period.
Comrade Pham Van Hoa - Director of the Department of Industry and Trade chaired at the Department of Industry and Trade bridge; also attending at the bridge were leaders of the district People's Committee, leaders of departments, units, commune People's Committees and businesses, consumers in the districts and towns.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Mr. Pham Van Hoa - Director of the Department of Industry and Trade said: This year, due to the complicated developments of the Covid-19 epidemic, Nghe An province has determined to convert the new status of activities responding to March 15 from direct to electronic platforms through online bridges from the provincial level to the district level, commune level; broadcast live to the masses through social networking sites Facebook, Zalo, YouTube channel... and media websites with the largest scale and coverage ever to consumers and related organizations and individuals. Through the activities responding to March 15, it is hoped that consumers in Nghe An province will clearly understand and fully enjoy the rights of consumers according to regulations.
We also direct the functional forces to strengthen market inspection and control, focusing on inspecting product quality assurance; strictly controlling and handling speculative acts and hoarding that cause price spikes, especially of essential goods, to ensure supply and stabilize the market.
