Ms. Nguyen Thi Khanh Linh in Quynh Ba commune said that at around 9 am on July 4, she took some children to Quynh Nghia beach to swim. When she got to the beach, she suddenly discovered a fish about 4 meters long washed ashore.
Seeing the strange fish, she called everyone to come down and see. According to some fishermen, this was a dragon fish, also known as an oarfish that lived in the sea and was washed ashore and is now dead. When the incident was discovered, the people of Quynh Nghia commune brought this fish back to organize a ritual burial because they believe this is a sacred animal of the sea.

It is known that the dragon fish is one of the most mysterious fish species in the ocean. They often live at a depth of more than 1,000m, rarely coming up to the surface to feed. The food of the dragon fish is usually zooplankton and crustaceans because they do not have teeth.
