Nghe An: Body of missing man found while selling areca nuts
(Baonghean.vn) - After nearly 2 days of searching, on the morning of October 28, people in Cat Van commune, Thanh Chuong district found the body of a man selling areca nuts in a pond.
The victim was Mr. Gian Viet Suu (born in 1973), residing in Hamlet 12, Cat Van Commune. According to information from the victim's family, at around 6:00 p.m. on October 26, Mr. Suu used a bicycle to transport areca nuts to a purchasing point in Hamlet 2 of the same commune, and then did not return home.

Waiting for a long time without seeing Mr. Suu return, unable to contact him, his family reported to the commune police. That same night, his brothers, relatives and neighbors spread out to search for him.
On the morning of October 28, during the search, the police force of Cat Van commune discovered Mr. Suu's body floating in the middle of Mr. Phuong's pond, near the entrance to the areca nut collection point in hamlet 2, about 1km from Mr. Suu's house.

It is known that Mr. Suu and his wife have 3 children, the youngest of whom is in 8th grade. On the afternoon of October 26, Mr. Suu picked some areca bunches in the garden to sell. Before transporting the areca nuts to import, he drank alcohol. After importing the areca nuts, he left his bicycle at the collection point and walked home, then went missing.
The family is currently organizing the funeral of the victim./.
