The launching ceremony of the Traffic Safety Year and the clearance of violations of traffic safety corridors 2018 was held to strengthen education and propaganda work to raise awareness of self-compliance with traffic safety laws and regulations, and to build traffic culture for vehicle drivers, especially during the Lunar New Year and Spring Festival 2018.

Speaking at the opening ceremony and launching the campaign, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Huynh Thanh Dien requested all levels and sectors to focus on synchronously and drastically implementing solutions, continuing to strive for the goal of reducing traffic accidents on all three criteria: Number of cases, number of deaths, number of injuries.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also noted that localities must be determined to ensure smooth and convenient traffic, avoiding congestion, especially during holidays and Tet.

After the launching ceremony, the forces organized parades on main streets such as Le Mao, Quang Trung, Le Loi, Nguyen Sy Sach, Le Nin, Truong Thi, Ho Tung Mau.
