On July 24, the Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control of Nghe An province issued Document No. 2381/BCĐ-SYT on strengthening Covid-19 prevention and control in the province to the Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control of districts, cities and towns; the Provincial Center for Disease Control; Medical Centers of districts, cities and towns and public and non-public medical examination and treatment facilities in Nghe An province.

To proactively detect early and have timely prevention and control measures, minimizing the penetration of cases into the province, the Provincial Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control recommends:

For the Steering Committee pDistrict-level Covid-19 prevention and control measures:Direct, review, make a list and immediately notify people who have been to Da Nang city and come into contact with suspected Covid-19 patients, request quarantine according to regulations, make medical declarations and coordinate with the Provincial Center for Disease Control to collect samples for Covid-19 testing according to regulations.

Make a list of close contacts of the above case; request medical isolation at home, place of residence, make medical declaration, update health status to grassroots medical staff twice a day (morning, afternoon); promptly notify local authorities and medical agencies when there are signs of suspected illness (dry cough, fever, difficulty breathing, etc.).

Direct the People's Committees of communes, wards, towns, health departments, and health centers to coordinate with relevant units to review, make lists, and notify people who have been to Da Nang city in the past 14 days who are present in the area, request medical declarations, advise on self-health monitoring, and promptly notify local authorities and health agencies when there are signs of suspected illness.

Organize closely, prepare adequate facilities and equipment, and ensure all conditions for the implementation of the task of isolating subjects at the district's centralized quarantine areas. For localities with centralized quarantine areas in the province, proactively coordinate closely, create the most favorable conditions for forces to carry out reception and quarantine work; ensure social security, security, and order in the areas implementing medical quarantine in residential areas.

Implement environmental sanitation and spray disinfectants at the residences and workplaces of the above-mentioned people.

For medical centers of districts, cities and towns:Coordinate with the health department to advise the District Steering Committee to organize screening and quarantine for citizens who have been to Da Nang city within the past 14 days.

Conduct body temperature checks and physical condition observations, conduct epidemiological investigations, and early detection of suspected cases; organize quarantine according to regulations and conduct sample collection; properly implement quarantine measures, disinfection measures at home, households in direct contact (adjacent) and accommodation facilities where people are quarantined.

Make a list of all people who have been in contact with the quarantined person, including family members and people working in the accommodation facility where the quarantined person is located, and report to the Provincial Center for Disease Control according to regulations.

For the Provincial Center for Disease Control:The focal point coordinates with local medical facilities to review the situation of facilities, chemicals, medical supplies and necessary conditions in epidemic prevention and control work, promptly advise the Department of Health to report to the Provincial Steering Committee to ensure resources are ready for all epidemic developments.

Preside over and guide relevant units to strengthen monitoring, screening, make lists and immediately notify people who have been to Da Nang city within 14 days and are present in the area, make health declarations, and on that basis organize quarantine and health monitoring according to regulations.

Organize surveillance and take samples for testing of suspected cases in the community, pneumonia, and acute respiratory infections at medical facilities to detect cases early and contain the outbreak.

Strengthen provincial mobile anti-epidemic teams, ready to support districts, cities and towns when necessary.

For public and non-public medical examination and treatment facilities:Continue to strictly implement instructions on screening, classification, flow, and control of patients coming for medical examination and treatment, and limit visits and inquiries of patients at medical facilities.

Review the necessary equipment, medicines, supplies and means for internal and external emergency teams to be ready to perform tasks when mobilized. Ensure a good 24/7 emergency system. In addition to regular tasks, it is necessary to prepare a full range of medicines, vehicles and medical instruments to be ready to receive and provide emergency care to patients; Organize isolation work at medical examination and treatment facilities according to instructions./.
