Nghe An reviews and strictly handles karaoke establishments that violate fire prevention and fighting regulations.

Previously, on April 28, 2022, Nghe An Police proactively issued a document to ensure fire prevention and fighting safety and rescue for karaoke service establishments, bars, and dance clubs after the Covid-19 epidemic situation was basically under control.

On August 9, 2022, Nghe An Provincial Police continued to deploy urgent solutions to prevent and limitfire, explosionand damage caused by fire and explosion to karaoke establishments, bars, dance clubs, etc. Accordingly, continue to direct the police of units and localities to carry out general inspections and review of fire safety work at karaoke establishments, bars, pubs, dance clubs across the province. Up to now, initial inspections and guidance have been given to 100% of establishments in the form of dance clubs, karaoke bars and entertainment establishments.

For facilities that still have shortcomings in fire prevention and fighting, the Provincial Police have provided specific instructions on how to fix them and assigned a time limit for completing the fixes. Thereby, 100% of facilities have signed a commitment to fix the shortcomings and at the same time maintain fire prevention and fighting safety conditions during operation.

Along with the inspection and direction to overcome existing problems, the Provincial Police organized 215 propaganda sessions and 41 fire prevention and fighting training courses for heads of establishments, members of fire prevention and fighting teams at establishments and workers at karaoke and discotheque businesses with more than 1,235 participants. Instructed 100% of establishments to develop and revise fire prevention and fighting plans according to regulations; at the same time, instructed establishments to organize 425 fire prevention and fighting plans at discotheques, karaoke bars and other entertainment establishments in the province.

According to Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Dinh Hanh - Deputy Head of the Fire Prevention and Fighting Police Department, Provincial Police: In Nghe An province, there are currently 424 establishments in the form of karaoke and dance clubs under the State management of fire prevention and fighting, including: 421 karaoke establishments, 2 bars, 1 pub. This is a type of business that often gathers a large number of people, and at the same time, always contains a large amount of flammable substances such as: soundproofing and insulation materials, fabrics, plastic products, wood, paper, electronic components, gasoline, oil, ... and uses many electrical devices that can generate heat sources, posing a high risk of fire and explosion, affecting the security, order, economy and society in the area.

Therefore, on the basis of implementing Official Dispatch No. 792/CD-TTg dated September 7, 2022 of the Prime Minister, the directive document of the Ministry of Public Security on strengthening fire prevention and fighting work for karaoke establishments and dance halls, Nghe An Provincial Police continue to advise the Provincial People's Committee to direct relevant departments, branches and sectors and People's Committees of districts, cities and towns to establish interdisciplinary inspection teams to carry out inspection and re-inspection of establishments with existing violations.

Accordingly, based on the nature and level of violation, the license will be revoked, operations will be suspended, and strict handling will be carried out according to the provisions of law.
