Nghe An: A student drowned while swimming in the river
(Baonghean.vn) - At around 4:30 p.m. on October 5, while swimming in the river with her friends, Lu Thi Na, an 8th grade student at Tien Thang Secondary School, Quy Chau district, drowned.
According to the confirmation of the Chau Tien commune authorities, on the afternoon of October 5, Na and 4 other friends invited each other to go swimming in the Hat River in Hoa Tien village, Chau Tien commune. While the 4 friends were sitting on the sandbank near the riverbank, they saw Na struggling but thought she was joking so they didn't pay attention. About 20 minutes later, the group of friends invited each other to go home but did not see Na, so they were shocked and called someone to look for her.
After a night of mobilizing boats and divers to search the river, it was not until 9am this morning, October 6, that the child's body was found.

It is known that Na is the son of Mr. Lu Van Cuong in Bua Lau village, Chau Tien commune, a poor household in the locality.
