Nghe An: Industrial and agricultural production increased compared to the same period

In the morning, members listened to and commented on the report reviewing the direction and management of the People's Committee; anti-corruption work; public reception, complaint and denunciation settlement; report on the implementation of the budget revenue and expenditure estimates for the first 6 months of the year and the direction for the last 6 months of the year and the Draft Resolution of the Provincial People's Council promulgating the collection level of fees for protection and development of rice-growing land in the province according to Decree No. 35/2015/ND-CP dated April 13, 2015 of the Government on management and use of rice-growing land.

In the first 6 months of the year, the total planting area of ​​winter-spring crops in Nghe An is estimated at more than 231,555 hectares, equal to 99.84% over the same period; the total exploited timber output is estimated at 145,820 m3, up 16.47% over the same period.

Total output of exploitation and aquaculture is estimated at nearly 61 thousand tons, up 5.7% over the same period. Industrial production development index increased by 9.21% over the same period. Implementing the national target program on new rural construction, up to now, the whole province has had 114 communes reaching the new rural finish line, 1 district-level unit meeting the new rural standard is Thai Hoa town.

Comrade Huynh Thanh Dien - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee commented on the report reviewing the direction and administration of the Provincial People's Committee in the first 6 months of the year and tasks and solutions for the last 6 months of 2016.

Since the beginning of the year, the province has issued new investment registration certificates for 34 projects/VND18,845 billion, and adjusted 4 projects with a total investment capital increase of more than VND474 billion. Up to now, new business registration certificates have been issued for more than 596 enterprises, an increase of 27.68% over the same period, bringing the total number of operating enterprises to about 9,000 enterprises.

Comrade Ho Ngoc Sy - Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development said that in general, spring crops had a good harvest, especially rice; however, the Provincial People's Committee needs to give strong direction to fight drought and climate change in the last 6 months of the year, including in-depth direction on summer-autumn crop production.

In the first 5 months of the year, budget revenue was VND3,798 billion, reaching 36.9% of the estimate, up 17.8% over the same period. Of which, domestic revenue was VND3,490.8 billion. Budget expenditure in the first 5 months of the year is estimated at VND7,615.7 billion; of which, expenditure for development investment was VND2,150 billion; regular expenditure was VND5,400 billion.

Regarding anti-corruption work, in the first 6 months of 2016, state administrative agencies at all levels in the province received 2,275 citizens coming to complain, denounce, make recommendations and reflect, an increase of 6.8% compared to the same period in 2015. The total number of cases under the jurisdiction of state administrative agencies at all levels was 175 cases, a decrease of 13.8% compared to the same period in 2015, including: 116 complaints (an increase of 3.6%); 59 denunciations (a decrease of 35.2%). Up to now, all levels and sectors have resolved 155/175 cases, reaching a rate of 88.6%.

In the first 6 months of the year, aquatic exploitation in the province increased by 5.7% over the same period last year.

Concluding the meeting, comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee directed: In the last 6 months of the year, the province will continue to accelerate the implementation of the National Target Program on New Rural Construction; assign specific tasks to localities and units to direct 34 communes to register for the New Rural Construction target. Departments and branches will monitor the development of livestock and poultry diseases; well implement summer-autumn and winter-spring production;

Focus on forest fire prevention, drought prevention, flood and storm prevention. Completely resolve procedures for investors in industrial parks; strongly improve the investment and business environment; resolutely direct the work of budget collection, tax debt recovery... Well implement the general census and review of poor households using multidimensional methods in the period 2016 - 2020.
