Nghe An: Landslide embankment collapses, injuring 4 people
(Baonghean.vn) - While many people were building a dam to prevent landslides, the entire dam suddenly collapsed, injuring 4 people, including a child under 2 years old.
Ms. Lo Thi Ngoc in Xieng Thu village, Chieu Luu commune, Ky Son district said: On April 3, her family asked relatives in the commune to help build a dike to prevent landslides because the house is located against a cliff.
The embankment is about 2 meters high and 5 meters long; the people who built the embankment are mainly women.

At around 3:30 p.m., while everyone was concentrating on working, the stone embankment suddenly collapsed, seriously injuring 4 people.
The family immediately transferred the injured to the District Medical Center.
By the evening of the same day, 3 people were being treated and given emergency care at Ky Son District Medical Center, and the most seriously injured person had been transferred to a provincial hospital.
It is known that among the 4 injured victims, there is 1 boy under 2 years old, the remaining 3 victims are all female.
Mr. La Duc Thoai - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Chieu Luu Commune said: "Upon receiving the news, the commune government immediately set up a team to go to the scene. At the time the team arrived, the victims had been taken to the emergency room by local people. "The collapsed embankment was built by local people with bricks a few days ago, and the incident happened when they continued construction today," said Mr. Thoai.
