On the afternoon of February 10, the Provincial Party Standing Committee listened to and gave opinions on investment policies for a number of projects. Comrade Nguyen Dac Vinh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation chaired the meeting.

At the meeting, the members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee listened to and gave their opinions on the Cau Cau mixed-use tourism, service and resort project in Thanh An commune, Thanh Chuong district. The total investment of the project is about 1,532 billion VND, with an operating period of 50 years, invested by the Transport Construction Corporation No. 4. The project is expected to be implemented in 5 investment phases from 2017 to 2022.

This project is implemented on a scale of more than 449 hectares with functional subdivisions including: reception area, operation area, resort area No. 1, resort area No. 2, entertainment area, craft village area, cultural discovery area and spiritual area.

According to the investor's report, the project will make the most of the area with available natural and environmental conditions, renovating and building new landscape architectures to integrate with the existing natural landscape.

The comrades in the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee have approved the investment policy for the Cau Cau mixed-use tourism, service and resort project. However, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Dac Vinh requested the Provincial People's Committee to tighten investment procedures so that the project approval steps follow the correct order.

Next, the Provincial Party Standing Committee listened to and gave opinions on the project of MDF and laminated wood production factory at Tri Le Industrial Park, Khai Son Commune, Anh Son District, invested by Nghe An MDF Joint Stock Company. The factory has a total estimated investment of more than 1,754 billion VND. The project's goal is to produce MDF with a capacity of 180,000m3/year and laminated wood with a capacity of 2,400m3/year.

The capacity of this factory requires a raw material area of ​​about 26,000 hectares. Referring to this issue, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Xuan Duong added: Previously, the raw material area was planned for Tan Hong paper factory in Con Cuong district, however, the investor later went bankrupt and up to now the factory has not been able to operate.

Therefore, the operation of Nghe An MDF Wood Joint Stock Company aims to solve the consumption of raw materials for people planting forests; at the same time, through calculations, the raw material area of ​​the MDF factory in Anh Son district does not affect the raw material area of ​​the MDF wood and fiberboard processing factory of May Forestry Joint Stock Company in Nghia Dan district.

“When the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee agrees to the investment policy of the factory, the competent authorities will appraise the machinery to ensure modern technology, environmental protection... and will proceed in accordance with regulations,” the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized. After listening to the report and related opinions, the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee unanimously approved the project investment policy of the investor.

Also this afternoon, the Provincial Party Standing Committee listened to, commented on and approved the investment policy for the project: Upgrading and expanding Nguyen Viet Xuan Street, Vinh City under the form of a Build-Transfer (BT) contract.

The project has a route length of 1,700m, a road width of 30m, a road surface width of 15m, and sidewalks on each side of 7.5m wide with a total investment of nearly 366 billion VND, implemented in Truong Thi and Hung Dung wards, Vinh city.

The project's goal is to build this route extending to the Lam River road, creating a vital traffic route connecting existing residential areas and satellite urban areas according to Vinh City's development plan.

Thereby, the route creates a balance in traffic flow, forming a complete road network, promoting socio-economic development of the entire eastern region of Vinh City.
