Nghe An will strictly handle cases of failure to properly classify 9th grade students.
(Baonghean.vn) - This is one of the solutions to overcome difficulties for non-public high schools in the current context of difficult enrollment.
On the morning of January 13, the Department of Education and Training - Nghe An Education Trade Union organized a conference of non-public high schools.
The conference was held in the context of non-public schools facing many difficulties such as difficulty in recruiting students, low training quality, unstable life of staff and teachers. Many schools have not invested in facilities and school equipment for many years.

Previously, since the 90s, the non-public high school system in Nghe An was established.
However, since 2010, the operation of non-public schools has encountered many difficulties in enrollment. Of these, 4 schools have been dissolved or changed their operations due to the reduction in the number of secondary school students.

Speaking at the conference, representatives of non-public schools also had many opinions to send to the conference, especially the problem of inadequacies in enrollment work due to unreasonable streaming work at secondary school level. Meanwhile, the gap between non-public and public schools is quite large, both in terms of facilities and teaching staff, many schools have a situation of "bleeding" good teachers.
Concluding the conference, Mr. Thai Van Thanh - Director of the Department of Education and Training shared the difficulties that non-public schools are currently facing. In the coming time, to improve quality, the Department recommends that schools need to develop a specific development strategy and diversify their activities, focusing on teaching skills and teaching people.

On the Department’s side, from this school year, there will be many innovations in the enrollment work for non-public schools. Especially now that many schools tend to “not allow 9th grade students to take the entrance exam for high school” to divide the stream, the Department’s leaders affirmed that in this school year, if any school “secretly” implements this, the principal will be disciplined. In addition, the rate of students being divided into streams will be reduced from 30 to 20% and the enrollment at Continuing Education Centers will be strictly managed according to the assigned quota to increase the enrollment source for non-public schools.
Faced with difficulties in facilities and professional work, the Department also requested that schools provide specific statistics and the Department will be responsible for finding solutions. The Department's viewpoint is that to improve the quality of mass education in the whole province, it is necessary to improve the quality of non-public education and will mobilize social resources to open training classes, improve the qualifications of non-public schools as well as carry out other activities.
Currently, the province has 27 non-public school models with a total of 475 permanent teachers working under the Labor Contract regime. Of these, 15/17 units have a Board of Directors, 02 schools belong to investors. Currently, the average income of teachers in non-public schools is 2,800,000 VND/person/month.
