Nghe An will promote investment in Australia
(Baonghean) - Organizing investment promotion in Australia is a strategic direction of Nghe An province in promoting investment attraction in 2017.
Impressive start
The event of Mavin AustFeed Nghe An Factory being built since September 2015, in Zone B - Nam Cam Industrial Park in the Southeast Economic Zone marks an important milestone in the province's trade and investment cooperation with Australia.
Mr. David John Whitehead - Chairman of Mavin AustFeed Vietnam Group expressed: “Nghe An has great potential for investment opportunities. In early 2015, when we came to Nghe An to seek investment opportunities, we were really impressed with the sincere and enthusiastic welcome of the leaders of Nghe An province and were specifically introduced to the investment attraction and incentive policies, as well as the investment environment of Nghe An province. From there, Mavin Group decided to invest in an animal feed factory in Nam Cam Industrial Park”.

This project is invested on an area of 36,000m2, with a total investment of 325 billion VND and a capacity of 300,000 tons of products per year. The total investment capital for the factory is 325 billion VND (about 15 million USD), with a capacity of 300,000 tons of animal feed per year, employing about 300 local workers and increasing the budget revenue for Nghe An province.
The factory uses modern technology and production lines from Buhler Company, Switzerland, and is a world-class quality factory in Vietnam. The inauguration of Mavin AustFeed factory will be an important step marking the growth of Mavin Group in Vietnam; ensuring the supply of high-quality products to serve the livestock sector in the area.
This is also an opportunity and motivation for investment, construction and development of the Southeast Economic Zone in particular, and the socio-economic development of Nghe An province in general; contributing to the effective implementation of Resolution 26 of the Politburo on the direction and tasks of developing Nghe An province until 2020; and the Resolution of the 18th Provincial Party Congress, term 2015 - 2020.
The project is also a typical example, a good start of investment cooperation between Australia and Nghe An as well as a demonstration of preferential policies, consistency in commitment to support, accompany, and create all conditions for investors of Nghe An province to bring benefits to both sides. This result will create momentum, encourage Australian businesses to continue investing in Nghe An.
As for Mavin Group, through the investment process in Nghe An, it has decided to expand investment in production and business.
“We hope Nghe An province will become our main production and business center in the Northern and Central regions of Vietnam. Our group will join hands with the Vietnamese people to build a sustainable agriculture,” Mr. Whitehead affirmed.
It is expected that the Group will soon deploy a series of smart agricultural projects in Nghe An because Mavin Group has just signed a memorandum of understanding on investment cooperation with the province at the Dinh Dau Spring Investors Meeting on February 19, with the Complete Agricultural Production Value Chain Project "From Farm to Table" including the High-tech Nuclear Pig Breeding Center in Anh Son district, raising about 2,500 sows, an area of about 50 hectares, with a total investment of about 250 billion VND; High-tech Livestock Science Research Center, with a total investment of about 350 billion VND; Meat Food Production and Processing Factory, using European technology, with a total investment of about 500 billion VND.
