Nghe An temporarily suspends festival activities to prevent and control Covid-19 epidemic

On February 4, the Department of Culture and Sports issued Official Dispatch No. 276/SVHTT-NSVHGĐ to the People's Committees of districts, cities and towns requesting direction to temporarily suspend the organization of festivals toCovid-19 prevention.

The document clearly states: In the face of the complicated and dangerous developments of the Covid-19 epidemic, especially the emergence of new strains with rapid spread. In order to limit activities with large crowds, strictly implement disease prevention and control measures, implement Decree No. 110/2018 of the Government on the management and organization of festivals and the direction of the Provincial People's Committee, the Department of Culture and Sports requests the People's Committees of districts, cities and towns to temporarily suspend activities.festivaluntil further notice.

Previously, the Department of Culture and Sports issued a Plan to organize festivals in 2021. Accordingly, in 2021 there will be 29 festivals, including 20 festivals taking place inspring(January-March of the lunar calendar), the rest take place at other times of the year (April-October of the lunar calendar).
