Nghe An strengthens people-to-people diplomacy.
On the afternoon of December 31st, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province held a conference to evaluate the Regulations on Coordination of People's Diplomacy between the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province, the Department of Foreign Affairs, and the Union of Friendship Organizations of Nghe An province in 2025.
Attending the conference were: Mr. Phan Sy Cuong – Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province; Mr. Nguyen Hong Ky – Standing Vice Chairman of the Union of Friendship Organizations of the province; and representatives from relevant departments, agencies, and units.

In 2025, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province, the Department of Foreign Affairs, and the Union of Friendship Organizations will continue to seriously implement the Central Committee's directives on strengthening the Party's leadership and improving effectiveness.foreign affairsIn the new situation, the people should proactively advise, guide, and implement the reporting system on people-to-people diplomacy in accordance with regulations.
The three agencies have proactively coordinated the dissemination of the Party and State's foreign policy views, guidelines, and directions; information on socio-economic development achievements, distinctive cultural features, and the image of Nghe An - the homeland of President Ho Chi Minh - to international friends and the Vietnamese community abroad.

Over the past period, the three agencies have proactively coordinated and effectively implemented people-to-people diplomacy activities, contributing to strengthening solidarity, friendship, and promoting international cooperation in Nghe An province. At the conference, delegates discussed several ideas surrounding strengthening people-to-people diplomacy. Notably, Comrade Ho Phuc Hai, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, stated: "The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province needs to create conditions to enhance understanding and exchange between Vietnamese students and foreign students, especially Lao students. This will promote cooperation between the youth of the two countries, further consolidating and deepening the close relationship between Vietnam and Laos."
From this perspective, Mr. Vi To Dinh of the Vietnam-Laos Friendship Association proposed to the provincial leaders to continue implementing the twinning program between villages to strengthen Vietnam-Laos relations, share difficulties caused by natural disasters, and further deepen the bond between the two countries and peoples...
Based on the opinions gathered from the delegates, Comrade Phan Sy Cuong - Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province - identified the tasks for future coordination: Continuing to disseminate and educate the public on laws with the provinces of neighboring Laos, ensuring national security and defense, and improving the material and spiritual lives of the people along the border.

Strengthening external communication and propaganda efforts.i, introducing images of Nghe An, the results of the province's socio-economic development; focusing on disseminating information about protecting border and maritime sovereignty, the Party and State's policies towards Vietnamese people abroad, and people from Nghe An living, studying, and working in other countries.
Strengthen efforts to mobilize and leverage international resources and the Vietnamese community abroad, focusing on attracting aid from foreign non-governmental organizations; expand connections with international organizations and foreign-invested enterprises; and intensify efforts to encourage overseas Vietnamese to contribute to social welfare programs and provincial development.
Strengthening information exchange and sharing among the three agencies, ensuring that information is regularly and promptly updated to serve advisory work; coordinating effectively in resolving emerging tasks, especially those related to the activities of foreign organizations and individuals in the province, the management of outgoing and incoming delegations, and foreign affairs protocol…
