Nghe An strengthens training of militia and self-defense forces in border areas and remote areas
(Baonghean.vn) - During 3 days (from August 24 to 26), the working delegation of the Military Region 4 Command led by Colonel Vu Xuan Hung - Deputy Chief of Staff of Military Region 4 inspected the implementation of militia and self-defense work in Nghe An province.
Also joining the delegation were: Colonel Dang Xuan Thu - Head of the Militia and Self-Defense Department, General Staff of Military Region 4; Lieutenant Colonel Phan Dai Nghia - Deputy Commander, Chief of Staff of the Provincial Military Command.

The delegation directly inspected the work of advising, directing, and implementing the work of militia and self-defense forces and some aspects of local military work at the Vinh City Military Command and the Military Commands of Nghi Loc, Tuong Duong, and Ky Son districts.
Through field surveys at units, the inspection team of the General Staff of Military Region 4 highly appreciated the management, training and practice of militia and self-defense forces in localities in the provincial military.
Notably, the dissemination and implementation of official dispatches and directives of the Ministry of National Defense and the Military Region 4 Command on registration, militia management, coordination with local authorities in natural disaster prevention, search and rescue, ensuring safety of warehouses, weapons and technical equipment, and combat readiness training were highlighted. At the same time, some limitations in the management and storage of records and documents were pointed out.

The Deputy Chief of Staff of the Military Region 4 Command further emphasized: In the coming time, the Provincial Military Command needs to pay more attention to the lives and facilities of the militia and self-defense forces in units, especially in border areas and remote areas./.
