Nghe An strengthens propaganda to ensure order and traffic safety for students in the new situation
(Baonghean.vn) - Through propaganda work, the Provincial Traffic Safety Committee hopes that students will clearly understand the legal regulations on traffic order and safety, thereby protecting and building a future generation of citizens with civilized traffic culture, contributing to the sustainable development of the country.
On the morning of May 21, at Vinh University, the Provincial Traffic Safety Committee coordinated with relevant units to organize a propaganda program "Strengthening the work of ensuring traffic order and safety for students in the new situation".

Attending the program were representatives of leaders of departments, branches, sectors and related units; along with representatives of the Board of Directors, teachers and more than 500 students of Vinh University High School for the Gifted.

According to statistics from the Provincial Traffic Safety Committee, in just the first 4 months of 2024, in Nghe An province, there were 12 traffic accidents caused by students, killing 7 people and injuring 10 people.
One of the reasons for the above situation is that the propaganda and education of traffic laws among school-age children have not received due attention; the handling of substandard and negative information on cyberspace still has many shortcomings, and there are still many behaviors that encourage violations on social networks... The above situation requires more drastic implementation of solutions to prevent and minimize traffic accidents related to school-age children.

Speaking at the program, Mr. Phan Huy Chuong - Deputy Head of the Provincial Traffic Safety Committee emphasized that disseminating laws to school-age children is one of the top priorities, both urgent and of long-term strategic significance in ensuring traffic order and safety.
During the summer vacation, children participate in many recreational activities without the regular supervision and reminders of teachers, so the role of management and education of the family will be greater. Parents must enhance their responsibility in managing children; equip them with knowledge and practical skills before driving vehicles according to the law. And more importantly, students need to raise their awareness of voluntarily complying with legal regulations on traffic order and safety.

At the program, students listened to representatives of the Traffic Police Department of Nghe An Province propagate legal regulations on traffic order and safety, ways to prevent causes of accidents as well as violations of the law.provisions of law.
Not only that, children are also instructed in safe driving skills for motorbikes and electric motorbikes; participate in driving vehicles on model cars...

On this occasion, the Provincial Traffic Safety Committee presented 1 set of LED propaganda lights, 2,000 leaflet pens, 600 traffic safety propaganda keychains, 50 helmets and many other gifts to the students.
