(Baonghean.vn)- A North-South freight train running from Hanoi to Vinh had to make an emergency stop when it hit a buffalo on the railway, causing buffalo meat to get caught in the wheel.

Accordingly, at 5:00 p.m. on May 24, freight train number 2301 running from Hanoi to Vinh, when reaching km 300 + 100 in Nghi Yen commune (Nghi Loc district), hit a local buffalo on the railway, causing the buffalo to die on the spot. The buffalo's body was wrapped around the train's wheels, so the train could not continue rolling.

Due to the heavy rain, there was a high risk of an accident, so the train driver made an emergency stop and, together with the railway staff, removed the buffalo meat from the wheel to ensure the train was safe to run. The incident caused the train to be delayed by 15 minutes.
