Nghe An attends 'Meet Indonesia 2024' Conference
(Baonghean.vn) - On March 22, in Nha Trang city, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs coordinated with the Indonesian Embassy in Vietnam and the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province to organize the "Meet Indonesia 2024" conference. The conference is an activity towards the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Indonesia.
Attending the conference, on the Indonesian side were Mr. Sakati Wahyu Trenggono - Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries; Mr. Denny Abdi - Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to Vietnam, along with Indonesian agencies and businesses.
On the Vietnamese side, there were Ms. Nguyen Minh Hang - Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and representatives of departments and branches of 21 provinces and cities (Khanh Hoa, Nghe An, Lam Dong, Binh Dinh, Ninh Thuan, Dak Lak, Dak Nong, Kon Tum, Binh Thuan, Quang Ngai, Phu Yen, Gia Lai, Thanh Hoa, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Hue, Kien Giang, Ba Ria Vung Tau...). The conference was also attended by over 250 delegates from ministries, departments, branches, localities, embassies, and business associations of Vietnam and Indonesia.
On the side of Nghe An province, there were representatives of leaders of departments, branches and units: Department of Foreign Affairs, Department of Tourism, Department of Industry and Trade, Provincial Center for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion and service enterprises in Nghe An province.
At the conference, delegates focused on discussing and proposing solutions to strengthen and expand cooperation between Vietnamese localities and Indonesian localities in areas where each side has potential and strengths such as: Cooperation in developing fisheries; tourism services; renewable energy; infrastructure; high-tech agriculture; trade, investment, manufacturing...
Delegates also focused on discussing the following topics: High-tech agricultural cooperation and sustainable aquaculture development; Digital economy and tourism cooperation; Cooperation in developing renewable energy and high technology.
The conference is an opportunity to connect Vietnamese localities and businesses with Indonesian partners; investors and businesses from both sides meet and seek investment and business cooperation opportunities.
Attending the conference, Nghe An organized the exhibition, promotion and introduction of publications, items and tourism products and services, promoting investment in trade, agriculture, forestry and seafood, thereby promoting the potential and tourism products and services of the province, while opening up new investment opportunities.
