Nghe An joins the 'safe tourism corridor of Hanoi and other localities' in the Northern region

On the afternoon of December 17, the Hanoi People's Committee held a tourism connection conference with the theme "Establishing a safe tourism corridor for Hanoi and other localities".

Attending the conference were comrade Doan Van Viet - Deputy Minister of Culture - Sports and Tourism; leaders of Hanoi city and representatives of the capital's tourism industry and 11 provinces and cities in the northern region (Quang Ninh, Hai Phong, Ninh Binh, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Hoa Binh, Son La, Dien Bien, Lai Chau, Lao Cai, Ha Giang).

The tourism connection conference aims to find appropriate directions to gradually restore the capital's tourism industry after being seriously affected by the pandemic.Covid-19 epidemic, creating favorable conditions to support tourism businesses to increase customer sources, overcome difficulties, and create momentum for recovery and development in the coming time.

At the same time, promote linkages and cooperation between state management agencies, associations, clubs, tourist attractions and tourism service businesses in the city and some provinces with tourism potential to build new product chains to meet the needs of tourists in the "new normal" conditions.

At the Conference, Nghe An Tourism organized a booth to display and introduce tourism products, destinations and local specialties. Nghe An's booth attracted the attention of representatives of travel agencies andtourist.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong - Director of Nghe An Department of Tourism informed delegates about the situation of Covid-19 epidemic prevention, affirming that the epidemic in Nghe An has been basically controlled, localities have moved to a "new normal" state, creating conditions for tourism recovery and development.

At the same time, Nghe An has also developed and implemented a plan to restore and develop tourism activities in the context of "new normal" with each step, specific itinerary. Nghe An is now a safe destination, ready to welcome tourists and wishes to expand connections and cooperation with provinces and cities to speed up the recovery process, moving towards developing tourism activities.

At the Conference, leaders of Nghe An Tourism signed a cooperation agreement on safe tourism development with Hanoi city and 10 provinces and cities in the Northern region.
