Nghe An participates in the Workshop 'Vietnam-Japan Investment Cooperation Forum'
(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of October 28, in Kanagawa city, the Ministry of Planning and Investment, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in coordination with Kanagawa province organized the "Vietnam - Japan Investment Cooperation Forum" workshop.
Attending the workshop on the Japanese side were Mr. Kuji Koroiwa - Governor of Kanagawa province and more than 100 enterprises of Kanagawa province. On the Vietnamese side were Mr. Nguyen Quoc Cuong - Ambassador of Vietnam to Japan; Nguyen Van Trung - Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment; Nguyen Trung Khanh - Director of the Department of International Cooperation - Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and leaders of the provinces: Nghe An, Hung Yen, Thanh Hoa, Quang Binh...
Representatives of Nghe An province attending the workshop included comrades Nguyen Xuan Son, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Le Minh Thong, member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, and leaders of a number of relevant departments and branches.

At the conference, Mr. Kuji Koroiwa, Governor of Kanagawa province, gave a welcome speech and introduced the history, socio-economic situation and business community of Kanagawa province, investment opportunities in Kanagawa and investors of the province who can invest in Vietnam.
Ambassador Nguyen Quoc Cuong and Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Trung introduced Vietnam's potential, advantages, and preferential mechanisms, and investment opportunities in Vietnam.

Also at the workshop, leaders of some provinces attending the workshop gave speeches introducing their provinces. Comrade Nguyen Xuan Son - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council gave an important speech at the investment promotion forum, introducing the potential advantages and some investment incentive policies of Nghe An. On the sidelines of the workshop, some Japanese enterprises met with leaders of the Department of Planning & Investment, Foreign Affairs, Culture, Sports & Tourism to learn about the investment environment in Nghe An.
In the late afternoon, Comrade Nguyen Xuan Son had a courtesy call on the Governor of Kanagawa. During the meeting, the Governor expressed his sympathy and shared with Nghe An about the damage caused by floods in Central Vietnam in general and Nghe An in particular. He pledged to make every effort to promote solidarity and friendship between Kanagawa and Nghe An provinces as well as call on the business community to invest in Nghe An.

Comrade Nguyen Xuan Son thanked the Governor and the Kanagawa Provincial Government for their support in helping Nghe An Province promote investment and respectfully invited the Governor to visit Nghe An.
At the investment promotion event, the Kanagawa provincial government organized a charity fundraiser to support people in Central Vietnam who suffered damage due to recent floods./.
