Nghe An: In May 2025, industrial production index increased by more than 18%
In May 2025, industrial production in Nghe An province faced many difficulties, but with great efforts of the entire political system and the consensus of the community participating in the production process, industrial production activities still maintained growth momentum.
The industrial production index in May 2025 is estimated to increase by 18.4% over the same period. Specifically: Processing and manufacturing industry increased by 18.71%; Production and distribution of electricity, gas, hot water, steam and air conditioning increased by 17.37%; Mining industry increased by 15.78% and water supply, waste and wastewater management and treatment increased by 10.19%.

In May 2025, the industry continued to recover and develop rapidly. Many new projects were put into operation, contributing to the economic growth of the province: electronic components, auto parts, solar battery modules; silicon semiconductor panels; camera housings, etc.

In the first 5 months of 2025, the industrial production index increased by 13.89% over the same period. Of which: Production and distribution of electricity, gas, hot water, steam and air conditioning is estimated to increase by 16.01%; Mining industry is estimated to increase by 15.91%; Processing and manufacturing industry is estimated to increase by 13.69% and water supply, waste and wastewater management and treatment activities are estimated to increase by 9.91%.

The industrial production index increased due to businesses' efforts to find consumer markets, especially foreign markets, so orders increased. Some products increased such as: Microphones increased by 6.5 times; Headphones not connected to microphones increased by 49.06%; Construction stone increased by 34.47%; Yogurt increased by 25.54%; Electricity production increased by 24.82%; Charging dock increased by 22.37%; Sugar increased by 19.63%, Cement clinker increased by 16.26%; Electric wire and cable production services increased by 15.87%; Fresh milk increased by 10.82%; Cement increased by 10.34%.
