Nghe An established 6 inspection teams to prepare for the 2019 high school exam

On the morning of May 28, Mr. Thai Van Thanh - Director of the Department of Education and Training, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the National High School Examination Steering Committee of the province led the inspection delegation to prepare for the 2019 National High School Examination and the 10th grade entrance exam in Nghi Loc district.

At Nghi Loc 2 High School - one of the schools far from the center, the delegation inspected the preparation of facilities, the area for storing exam papers and test papers of candidates, the accommodation of invigilators and candidates living far away.

Currently, although there is still nearly a month left until the National High School Exam, the school's preparations have basically been completed. The school has also proactively overcome difficulties such as contacting households around the school and renovating the dormitory to arrange a place to rest for parents, students and supervisors (if needed).

When inspecting Nghi Loc 4 and Nghi Loc 5 High Schools, the inspection team also highly appreciated the preparation work of the schools for the 10th grade entrance exam and the National High School Exam. Currently, all schools have completed the installation of cameras and completed the application documents for candidates. The schools have also repaired the fence system, facilities and have specific review plans to provide additional tutoring for students with average academic performance to achieve good results in the upcoming exam.

On the same morning, the Inspection Team also worked with the Nghi Loc District Examination Steering Committee. In 2019, in the 10th grade entrance exam, the district had 5 examination councils with 2,483 candidates registered for the exam with 2,064 positions. In the National High School Exam alone, the whole district will have 2,100 candidates taking the exam at 5 exam locations with 85 exam rooms.

In preparation for the upcoming exams, the district has issued a document assigning specific tasks to members of the Steering Committee, which is directly managed by the Vice Chairman of the District People's Committee. In addition, it has also directed schools to organize effective review sessions.

The district has also developed protection plans with the basic human resources being the professional force of the district police and deployed backup plans to prevent unusual incidents from occurring.

The district will also organize a volunteer team with 100 members to be present at the examination sites to support candidates and their families during the examination. In difficult cases and those with special circumstances, the district will have a support plan to encourage them to feel secure and not let candidates skip the exam.

This is also the first year that the Department of Education and Training has sent junior high school teachers to participate in the supervision of the 10th grade entrance exam with about 70 teachers. The district will select and arrange key teachers and experienced teachers so that the exam can take place seriously, safely and in accordance with regulations.

In order for the exams to take place smoothly, Mr. Thai Van Thanh also noted that Nghi Loc district needs to review the exam preparation procedures and proactively develop its own plans according to the characteristics of each unit. At the same time, properly implement the reporting and speaking regime so that the exams take place normally, seriously and in accordance with regulations.
