Nghe An establishes socio-economic advisory group for the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee
(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of August 18, the Provincial People's Committee announced the Decision to establish a Socio-Economic Advisory Group for the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and worked with the Advisory Group.

Attending the ceremony were comrades: Nguyen Dac Vinh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Nguyen Xuan Duong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Thai Thanh Quy - Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission; Le Xuan Dai - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Le Minh Thong - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and leaders of the Provincial Party Committee Office, the Provincial People's Committee and a number of departments and branches.
On June 13, 2018, the Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee signed Decision No. 2385/QD-UBND on the establishment of a Socio-Economic Advisory Group to advise the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee on socio-economic development issues.
The socio-economic advisory group of the Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An province consists of 6 members: Mr. Truong Dinh Tuyen - former member of the Party Central Committee, former Minister of Trade, former Secretary of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee as head of the group; Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Dinh Thien - former Director of the Vietnam Institute of Economics as deputy head of the group; Mr. Ho Xuan Hung - former Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, former Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An province, Chairman of the Vietnam General Association of Agriculture and Rural Development; Dr. Nguyen Sy Dung - former Deputy Head of the National Assembly Office; Mr. Tran Ngoc Chinh - Chairman of the Vietnam Urban Planning and Development Association, former Deputy Minister of Construction and Ms. Thai Huong - General Director of Bac A Commercial Joint Stock Bank.
The socio-economic advisory group has three tasks: advising the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee on strategies, plans, projects, and policies for medium-term and long-term socio-economic development; and annual socio-economic development plans.
The team also analyzes, forecasts, and evaluates the situation and results of implementing socio-economic development plans, strategies, projects, and socio-economic development policies, on that basis, advises the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee on measures and solutions to improve implementation efficiency or propose amendments and supplements to mechanisms and policies to achieve the set goals.
Members of the group also give opinions on important reports and projects on socio-economic development of the Provincial People's Committee submitted to the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial Party Executive Committee, the People's Council and other specific tasks as requested by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

Speaking at the announcement ceremony, on behalf of the Advisory Group, former Minister of Trade Truong Dinh Tuyen assessed that Nghe An province's establishment of an Advisory Group for the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee on socio-economic development of the province demonstrates the receptive attitude of provincial leaders in seeking expert opinions.
On the members' side, accepting to participate also shows the enthusiasm of Nghe An's children who want to contribute to their home province.
“Personally, I and my colleagues in the group will try our best to contribute as much as possible to the socio-economic development of Nghe An province,” shared the Head of the Socio-Economic Advisory Group.
At the meeting, members of the Advisory Group and provincial leaders discussed the group's operating regulations.
Speaking at the meeting, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Dac Vinh said that Nghe An really wants to have an Advisory Group to help provincial leaders in planning their vision; making important decisions to handle specific issues. On that basis, the province discussed inviting the most experienced Nghe An people with deep understanding in various fields to join the Advisory Group.

The Provincial Party Secretary also discussed and agreed on some contents of the Advisory Group's Operating Regulations. In addition to the activities according to the regulations, the Provincial Party Committee leader also hopes that other activities and important issues will receive consulting support from the members and the Advisory Group.
On behalf of the leaders of Nghe An province, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Dac Vinh respectfully thanked the members of the Advisory Group for accepting to help the province from strategic to specific tasks and affirmed that the province is responsible for creating the most practical conditions for the group to operate, with specific tasks, not just formalities.
Concluding the meeting, sincerely thanking the cooperation of the members of the Advisory Group, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Xuan Duong believes: With their intelligence and working experience, the members will make effective contributions to the provincial leaders in directing and managing socio-economic development in the new period.
In order for the Advisory Group to operate effectively, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested that based on the draft Working Regulations, the Provincial People's Committee Office coordinate with the Advisory Group, the Department of Finance, the Department of Planning and Investment, and the Department of Justice to promptly complete the Working Regulations and issue them this August.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also assigned the Provincial People's Committee Office to coordinate with relevant units to promptly submit to the Provincial People's Committee a decision to establish a support group for the Advisory Group; to do a good job of connecting the provincial leaders and the Advisory Group.
The head of the Provincial People's Committee also assigned provincial departments, branches, and sectors, and district People's Committees to provide relevant documents to the Advisory Group upon request, and to coordinate with the Advisory Group in preparing reports and projects on strategies, mechanisms, and policies for general and sectoral socio-economic development; and to organize research and discussion of those reports and projects with the Advisory Group to propose consulting opinions to the provincial leaders.
