The family has small children and elderly people, the house is tiled and the floor is paved with stone, so on humid days, the floor of Mr. Le Duy Tuong's house (Hung Dung ward, Vinh city) is soaked. Household items such as refrigerators, freezers, and glass cabinets also "sweat", making the house slippery and unsafe to walk on, so Mr. Tuong decided to buy a dehumidifier.
Mr. Le Duy Tuong said: “Using a fan and regularly cleaning the house still didn’t work. After researching, I decided to invest in a dehumidifier to cope with this weather, a small capacity one for the bedroom and a large capacity one for the living room.”

According to records, in recent days, the number of people coming to electronics supermarkets to buy dehumidifiers and clothes dryers has increased compared to before. Ms. Nguyen Thi Yen, an employee at an electronics supermarket on Le Hong Phong Street (Vinh City) said: "Previously, our supermarket only sold air purifiers with integrated dehumidifying functions. However, since the beginning of February, due to the humid weather, many customers have been looking to buy specialized dehumidifiers, so the supermarket has imported a large quantity of goods to serve the needs of customers.
Depending on the brand and capacity, dehumidifiers cost from 4-12 million VND. In the past 5 days, our supermarket has sold 50 dehumidifiers of various types, mainly Chinese models with Japanese technology at affordable prices, chosen by many people.

In addition to small capacity dehumidifiers for households, large capacity industrial dehumidifiers are also very popular when demand increases.
Mr. Le Quang Vinh, owner of an electronics and refrigeration store on Quang Trung Street (Vinh City) said: “Coffee shops, hotels and especially kindergartens order a lot of industrial dehumidifiers. We only supply this item according to customer orders. Because the weather in Nghe An has never been as humid as this year, we do not dare to get the goods in advance.”

Clothes dryers are also in high demand when clothes are difficult to dry or moldy in this weather. Clothes dryers range in price from 700,000 VND to 2 million VND; more professional dryers cost from 9-20 million VND with a capacity of 8-12 kg of clothes and are also sought after by many people.
Not only in supermarkets and electronics stores, but also on e-commerce platforms and Fanpages, clothes dryers are being advertised at quite cheap prices, only about 500,000 - 1 million VND/product.
“A clothes dryer is very necessary in the current humid weather. I bought a dryer for 1.2 million VND, which can dry 7-8kg of clothes in 1.5 hours. Although it consumes a lot of electricity and the amount of clothes dried each batch is small, the clothes are dry, no longer have a musty smell, and the price is cheap compared to laundry services, so I find it quite reasonable,” said Ms. Huong Giang, a consumer.

According to information from the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, from now until April, the North and North Central regions will have about 4-5 periods of wet weather of varying lengths. Some periods last for several days, some last for a whole week. During the wet weather period, air humidity increases above 85%, accompanied by drizzle and fog, causing dampness in houses, civil works and essential items. To limit wet weather, people should close doors and windows to avoid humid air from entering the house. To reduce humidity in the house, air conditioners or dehumidifiers can also be used.
