Nghe An: Highlights on February 1

General Secretary and President Nguyen Phu Trong stated that the great success of the 13th National Party Congress will strongly encourage the entire Party, people and army to continue to overcome all difficulties and challenges, seize opportunities and advantages, and strive to soon turn our country into a developed, high-income country with a socialist orientation.

General Secretary and President Nguyen Phu Trong suggested that immediately after the Congress, Party committees and organizations at all levels should focus on disseminating and widely propagating the results of the Congress throughout the Party, people and army; thoroughly study and grasp the Resolution and documents of the Congress; promptly develop and implement programs and action plans, launch a widespread patriotic emulation movement, a spirit of innovation and creativity, overcome difficulties and challenges to soon bring the Congress Resolution into life.

Accordingly, the Congress elected the 13th Party Central Committee consisting of 200 comrades, including 180 official members and 20 alternate members. The 13th Party Central Committee held its first meeting and elected a Politburo of 18 comrades.

With an almost absolute number of votes, the 13th Party Central Committee elected comrade Nguyen Phu Trong - General Secretary of the 12th Party Central Committee, President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam as General Secretary of the 13th Party Central Committee.

The 13th Central Committee Secretariat includes a number of Politburo members assigned by the Politburo to participate in the Secretariat and 5 comrades elected at the first meeting of the 13th Central Committee.

*SAfter the 13th National Party Congress closed, on the morning of February 1, comrade Nguyen Phu Trong - General Secretary and President chaired the meeting.press conference to exchange information about the Congress.

The General Secretary and President emphasized that the 13th Congress has been a great success so far, shortening the planned duration by nearly 2 days. It can be affirmed that the Congress has been successful in both content and method, including the adoption of Resolutions.

Sharing more, the General Secretary and President said that the most difficult task of the Congress is preparing documents. The documents this time (Summary of 5 years, review of 35 years of renovation, national development process, Political Report, Socio-economic Report, Party building Report...) have been carefully prepared and revised many times (about 80 times).

In particular, the authorities also for the first time publicly announced in the newspaper for all people to contribute opinions, synthesize opinions from all levels to supplement and complete the document.

*NThese days, the Covid-19 epidemic is becoming more complicated again, so in Nghe An, the work of preventing and fighting the epidemic is constantly being raised to the warning level.

As of this morning (February 1), schools in Nghe An are still holding classes as usual. However, to ensure the safety of students, Covid-19 prevention and control work is being strictly implemented by schools.

*LRegarding the prevention and control of Covid-19 epidemic in schools, Nghe An Department of Education and Training requestssuspend extracurricular activities, including extra teaching and learning; schools, Vocational Education and Continuing Education Centers, Information Technology, Foreign Language, and Life Skills Centers strengthen inspection, supervision, and rectification of the implementation of the set of criteria for safe schools in the prevention and control of COVID-19 pandemic of the Nghe An Education and Training sector.

In addition, mobilize all resources, conduct general cleaning and disinfection of classrooms, teaching equipment, children's toys and increase medical equipment and environmental sanitation at schools such as: body temperature measuring machines, antiseptic water, soap, masks. Comply with the requirements and instructions of health agencies on disease prevention and control; strictly implement the 5K message (Mask - Disinfection - Distance - No gathering - Medical declaration).

*LIVEAnother development that many people are interested in, on February 1, the Center for Disease Control of Nghe An province said,Test results for 2 F1 cases are availableof "patient 1815". Both people tested negative for SARS-CoV-2 virus. Currently, both male students are still being quarantined at medical facilities.

Regarding this case, by noon on February 1, the authorities had identified 47 students and 5 lecturers of FPT University who had close contact with the male student infected with Covid-19. Of the 47 students, most were classmates of the male student of the Software Engineering department, "patient 1815". Regarding place of residence, Hanoi had 20 students, Thai Binh 6, Nghe An 5; Ninh Binh, Nam Dinh, Hung Yen each had 2 students, and Hai Phong, Bac Giang, Phu Tho, Tuyen Quang, Bac Ninh, Lang Son, Hai Duong and Quang Ninh each had 1 student.
