Nghe An: Highlights of February 1st

The Nghi Son - Dien Chau expressway toll collection is about to begin; Nghe An province collects over 356 billion VND from forest emission reduction; Thousands participate in blood donation at the 18th "Red Sunday" event... These are some of the highlights of the day.

* At the Government Headquarters, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh - Head of the National Steering Committee for the implementation of Resolution No. 79-NQ/TW of the Politburo on the development of the state-owned economy - chaired the first meeting of the Steering Committee.

Immediately afterResolution 79-NQ/TWFollowing the direction of the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Finance has developed: a draft Decision on the establishment of the National Steering Committee for the implementation of the Resolution; a draft Resolution of the National Assembly on some special mechanisms and policies for the development of the state-owned economy; and a draft Resolution of the Government promulgating the Government's Action Plan for implementing Resolution No. 79-NQ/TW.

By the end of January 29th, the Ministry had received feedback from 3 out of 16 ministries and agencies and 15 out of 34 localities.

* Nghi Son - Dien Chau ExpresswayFee collection is expected to begin soon.Starting after the Lunar New Year of the Year of the Horse 2026, this section of the route, passing through Nghe An province, is approximately 43.5 km long and will have an estimated toll rate of 900 VND/km.

Previously, the Dien Chau - Bai Vot expressway officially started collecting tolls on January 5, 2025, as it was invested in under the public-private partnership (PPP) model.

* Following Government Decree No. 107/2022/ND-CP on piloting the transfer of business resultsreduce greenhouse gas emissionsIn the North Central region, where the Emission Reduction Payment Agreement (ERPA) is in effect, Nghe An is one of the localities that has proactively taken action to concretize and organize the implementation of the Emission Reduction Payment Agreement (ERPA).

From 2024 to the present, the implementation of ERPA in the province has achieved noteworthy initial results. To date, the total revenue from ERPA in Nghe An province has reached 356.43 billion VND.

* In response to the campaign to encourage voluntary blood donation during the Lunar New Year and Spring Festival in 2026, organized by the National Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation, the Provincial Red Cross Society, in coordination with the Nghe An Blood Transfusion and Hematology Center, organized...18th "Red Sunday" festivalAll of this blood will be received, preserved, and distributed to medical facilities by the Nghe An Provincial Blood Transfusion and Hematology Center to serve emergency and treatment needs for patients; contributing to resolving the blood shortage that often occurs during the Lunar New Year holiday.
