Nghe An: Highlights on August 12

*SOn the morning of August 12, in Vinh City, the second session of the 18th term of Nghe An Provincial People's Council, term 2021 - 2026 officially opened. The second session of the 18th Provincial People's Council, term 2021 - 2026, was shortened to 1.5 days (from August 12-13, 2021), ensuring both the prevention and control of the Covid-19 pandemic and the quality of the session. At the session, the Provincial People's Council reviewed and evaluated the implementation of the province's socio-economic development plan in the first 6 months of the year, tasks for the last 6 months of 2021; reported on the prevention and control of the Covid-19 pandemic and the implementation of policies to support employees and employers facing difficulties due to the Covid-19 pandemic and related reports on resolving voters' opinions and recommendations.

This session will not hold a question and answer session or a group discussion session. However, pressing and prominent issues of concern to voters, as reported by the press, will be considered by the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council to select the content of the question and request clarification at the meeting of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council.
