Nghe An: Highlights on November 18

*Morning of November 18,Central survey delegation works with Nghe An Provincial Party Standing Committeeon the implementation of Resolution No. 27-NQ/TW, dated August 6, 2008 of the Party Central Committee (10th tenure) on building a contingent of intellectuals in the period of promoting industrialization and modernization of the country.

After Resolution No. 27-NQ/TW was issued, the Provincial Party Standing Committee issued an Action Program for implementation; the Provincial Party Executive Committee issued Resolution No. 08 on developing and improving the quality of human resources for the 2011-2020 period.

Over the past 15 years, the province has also issued many mechanisms and policies to effectively implement 5 projects on building a team of intellectuals, projects that have contributed to the effectiveness of the province's socio-economic development.

Through assessment, in Nghe An, the team of cadres, civil servants, public employees in general, and the team of intellectuals in particular, has increased in quantity and continuously improved in quality, making many important contributions to the overall development of the province.

In 2008, the intellectual team of Nghe An province was 31,952 people (accounting for 39% of the total number of cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers in the province). By 2022, it will increase to 65,102 people, an increase of 33,105 people compared to 2008 (an increase of over 100%).

*On the morning of November 18, in Yen Thanh district,Phan Dang Luu High Schoolcelebrated the 40th anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers' Day and received the Third Class Labor Medal - for the second time.

Phan Dang Luu High School was established in September 1961 with the original name of Yen Thanh High School. From April 25, 1984, it was changed to Phan Dang Luu High School.

Over 61 years of establishment, the school has successfully completed its political tasks, contributing to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation in general and the education and training cause of the country and homeland in particular.
