Nghe An: Highlights on January 2

*CAlong with the innovation in leadership and direction of the Provincial People's Committee, in 2020,Nghe An Provincial People's Councilhas been flexible, creative, and innovative in operations at all stages, completing a large amount of work to meet practical requirements.

In 2020, the Provincial People's Council held 5 sessions (2 regular sessions and 3 extraordinary sessions) - this is the year with the most sessions in the term. In addition to personnel work under its authority, at these 5 sessions, the Provincial People's Council reviewed and issued 63 thematic resolutions on socio-economic, defense and security policies and guidelines.

Also stemming from the concern for the people's issues, during the year, the Provincial People's Council organized a supervision of the implementation of 16 key resolutions related to mechanisms and policies for investment in socio-economic development since the beginning of the term.

Citizen reception activities of provincial People's Council delegates, in addition to sending people to participate in citizen reception sessions at the Provincial Citizen Reception Council, every month, the Provincial People's Council Standing Committee also assigns provincial People's Council delegates to participate in citizen reception in the locality where they are running for election.

*MIn 2020, despite many difficulties, Nghe An stillachieved many great resultsin implementing the National Target Program on new rural construction.

In 2020, Nghe An mobilized a total capital source for investment and new rural construction of over 10,000 billion VND. Of which: State budget capital is nearly 2,000 billion VND; capital combined from programs and projects is over 2,000 billion VND; enterprise capital is 450,000 million VND; credit capital is over 5,000 billion VND; capital contributed by the people is over 1,000 billion VND. At the end of 2020, Nghe An had 34 more communes recognized as meeting new rural standards, bringing the total number of communes meeting new rural standards in the province to 280 communes (reaching 68.36%), the average number of criteria in the province reached 16.5 criteria/commune.

This not only causes traffic congestion but also affects the urban beauty, so the Urban Order Management Team will coordinate with the forces of wards and communes to increase patrols and handle this situation.
