Nghe An: Highlights on February 2

* On the morning of February 2, on the occasion of the 94th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2024) and the celebration of the Spring of Giap Thin,Delegation of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An provinceoffering flowers and incense in memory of President Ho Chi Minh and General Secretary Le Hong Phong.

Delegation of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province visited the Kim Lien National Special Relic Site, Nam Dan to respectfully pay tribute, offer flowers, and burn incense to express gratitude and deep respect to President Ho Chi Minh - the great leader of our Party and People; Founder and trainer of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

At the Memorial Site of General Secretary Le Hong Phong, Hung Thong Commune, Hung Nguyen District, the delegation of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An Province respectfully offered flowers and incense to commemorate and express their infinite gratitude for the great contributions of the General Secretary.

* Morning of February 2,Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh chairs the 2024 Cooperative Economic Forumwith the theme: "Improving the State's support policy according to Resolution No. 20-NQ/TW dated June 16, 2022 - Driving force to promote the development of collective economy and cooperatives in the new period".

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized that the collective economic sector is one of the four important economic sectors in Vietnam's socialist-oriented market economy. Collective economic development is an inevitable trend in the context of international integration, in line with Vietnam's socialist-oriented market economy.

* Afternoon with Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh chairing the 7th Session ofGovernment Steering Committee for Administrative Reformto evaluate the results of administrative reform in 2023, discuss the direction and tasks of administrative reform in 2024. Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh - Head of the Steering Committee chaired the conference.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized and clarified the results achieved in administrative reform work; thereby acknowledging and praising the efforts of ministries, branches and localities in 2023.

In addition to the achieved results, the Prime Minister said that mechanisms, policies and laws in some areas are still overlapping and contradictory; administrative procedure reform is still limited and entangled; a number of cadres and civil servants still avoid, push things away, are afraid of mistakes and responsibilities; public administration reform is not very effective; building e-government still faces many challenges...

* Afternoon of February 2,Nghe An Provincial People's Committee held an online conferencewith districts, cities and towns in the province to evaluate the results of 2 years of implementing the work of clearing violations and preventing re-encroachment of road and railway traffic safety corridors in the province according to the resolution of the Provincial People's Council and the plan issued by the Provincial People's Committee.

According to the report, the results of clearing traffic safety corridors, from January 1, 2022 to present, the whole province has cleared 12,463 m²houses, kiosks, tents, shops of all kinds; 259 temporary markets; 1,583 points of sale; 21,336 billboards; 2,570 electric poles, telecommunication poles; 659 car washes, parking lots; 27,885m²canopy; 9,588m²steps;…

The Traffic Inspectorate has inspected and handled 488 cases; of which 19 cases were recorded for violations with a fine of more than VND 138 million; and 345 cases were transferred to the District People's Committee for handling according to their authority.

* On the morning of February 2, the working delegation of the Military Command of Vientiane province (Lao People's Democratic Republic) arrivedvisit, wish Happy New Yearat the Military Command of Nghe An province.

Working at the Military Command of Nghe An province, the working delegation of the Military Command of Vientiane province highly appreciated the achievements of the unit in the past time and sent wishes of good health and a prosperous New Year 2024 to all officers and soldiers of the armed forces of the province and hoped that the friendship, cooperation, solidarity between the two countries, the two peoples and the special relationship between Vientiane province and Nghe An province will always be sustainable.

* Vinh City has issued a Plan to celebrate the Party, celebrate Spring and welcome the Lunar New Year 2024. In which,urban beautification workis focused on creating a joyful atmosphere, adding a new coat to Vinh city in the new year.

Accordingly, for the projects and works being implemented in the area such as upgrading Nguyen Thi Minh Khai, Le Hong Phong, Ly Thuong Kiet extended streets... due to the urgent need for business premises for small traders as well as to facilitate people's shopping and Tet shopping, the city is directing to speed up the progress and soon complete the necessary items.

At current construction sites, Vinh city requires forces to clean up the environment and return the site before December 25th of the lunar calendar to serve people doing business and shopping for Tet, and only resume construction after the end of the Tet holiday.
