*SOctober 22nd,Funeral ceremony for 22 officers and soldiersThe memorial service for those who died in a landslide was held with military honors at the Quang Tri Provincial Multi-Purpose Gymnasium. From early morning, thousands of people lined up to pay their respects to the fallen soldiers. Comrade Hoang Nghia Hieu, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, led the provincial delegation to pay their respects and offer condolences to the families of the martyrs. Of the 22 officers and soldiers who died, eight were from Nghe An province, many of them just 19 or 20 years old.

Peeled shrimp is produced year-round, but the peak season is from April to September because the supply of sea shrimp is abundant. The shrimp selected for peeling must be fresh and uniform in size. Previously, on October 19th, a photo capturing 93-year-old Mrs. Tran Thi Chau carrying a box of instant noodles to a truck transporting relief supplies for flood victims in Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Quang Tri, and Thua Thien Hue provinces was widely shared on social media.

According to Mr. Pham Van Son, Chairman of the Fatherland Front Committee of Nghia Hung commune, Mrs. Tran Thi Chau is 93 years old and lives alone. She was previously classified as a poor household, but in 2019 she requested to be removed from the list. Three days ago, upon seeing the vehicle collecting donations for people in Central Vietnam severely affected by floods, she donated a box of instant noodles she had just bought for breakfast.
